In short
Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch is a hanwoo (Korean beef) charcoal grill restaurant in Ingye-dong, Suwon, next to Nahyeseok Street. Two servings of the hanwoo assorted platter (49,000 won for 150g each) were grilled over charcoal, followed by hanwoo doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), a seafood-packed ramyeon (15,000 won), and bingsu (shaved ice) for dessert. Visited a Suwon Korean BBQ spot for some beef: Yeongpo Hwa-ro.

Location and parking at Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch

Yeongpo Hwa-ro, an Ingye-dong Korean BBQ favorite, sits right next to Nahyeseok Street. The parking lot is spacious so parking was easy. You hand over your car keys and they keep them for you.

Partitioned seats and rooms — great for family gatherings
The seats are set up with partitions so you can eat privately.

There are also rooms that fit large groups. Looks great for a private birthday party or family gathering.

What we ordered and the prices

At Yeongpo Hwa-ro, the raw meat is vacuum-packed and kept at a constant temperature below 2°C, using a method that relies on gravity so juices don't leak out regardless of outside temperature — or so they say.

Side dishes and hanwoo doenjang jjigae
Side dishes come out first. Wild garlic greens, cucumber pickles, kimchi, garlic, chili peppers, ssamjang (dipping sauce), salt, wasabi. All neatly arranged to pair well with the meat.

Ordered doenjang jjigae with a bowl of rice too! The stew is packed with hanwoo beef and it's seriously the kind of thing you eat too much rice with.

Hanwoo assorted platter, 150g — what cuts are in it?
Hanwoo assorted platter, 1 serving (150g): 49,000 won *Ordered 2 servings Sirloin, striploin, short rib meat, flap meat, chuck tender, brisket point, skirt meat — all kinds of cuts served together.

They lay the hanwoo on a charcoal-fired grill. The heat is genuinely intense, so the surface sears beautifully. First up they grilled the al-chadolbagi.

Dip lightly in salt and eat with wasabi. It melts, it just melts, haha.

Enjoyed it with salt and wasabi. I really love pairing it with salt. Soft, savory flavor. As always, cooking it just right rather than overcooking seems to taste the best.

Properly nourished myself with beef. Each cut has a different texture but all of them are tender. I was curious because Yeongpo Hwa-ro had good reviews, and it seems there's a reason for the good reviews.

Finishing with seafood ramyeon and bingsu for dessert
Ramyeon. Wanted to finish with ramyeon so ordered one, and it was packed with seafood ~ the broth was nice and spicy too.

Even had bingsu for dessert ~ ending with a cool, sweet bingsu made it the perfect finish. Ate well and left full.
Convenient for driving too, with the large parking lot
If you're looking for an Ingye-dong restaurant, or an Ingye-dong Korean BBQ spot, I'd recommend Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch.
