Jeonju foot soak café for a mother-daughter break: Jeonmang
In short
Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang is a foot soak café in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeonju. My mom and I spent 30 minutes with peppermint salt, sole acupressure, a shoulder massager, tea, and hanok views. A lovely mid-trip reset after lots of walking.

A healing stop on a Jeonju trip: a café with foot soaks and massage at the same time, right in Hanok Village.
A place to rest midway through a Jeonju Hanok Village trip

My mom and I went on a trip to Jeonju, looking around Hanok Village and going out for delicious food, but after walking all day, the fatigue really built up in our feet. So while looking for somewhere to take a quick break, we visited Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang (안마족욕카페전망) in Jeonju Hanok Village.

Since you can have a foot soak and shoulder massage while drinking tea, it seemed perfect to add to a Jeonju itinerary. After going myself, though, it felt like more than a brief rest—I came away properly refreshed, so I thought I’d leave a review. Jeonmang is on the second floor of Pungnyeon Confectionery in Hanok Village, so it is easy to get to and easy to find on the main street.
You can get a foot soak and massage while looking out over Hanok Village, and I especially liked that the seats were arranged to face the windows. Soaking my feet in warm water while watching the view outside gave me a little breathing room in the middle of the trip. Taking a break like this while exploring Hanok Village would make a great part of any trip.

Was the 30-minute foot soak course enough?
I used the 30-minute course, and at first I wondered whether 30 minutes might be a little short. But once I started, it felt longer than expected and was plenty of time to rest while easing the fatigue in my feet. Before starting, I took off and stored my shoes and socks, then got ready for the foot soak. The staff kindly explained the machine and how to use it, so even first-timers can follow along without difficulty.

You choose one of three salts to add, and I chose peppermint. Then you put your feet into the machine, which also provides acupressure from the bottom, so the soles of your feet feel incredibly refreshed.

The water stays heated, so as my feet warmed up, it felt like the fatigue was melting away. I tend to walk a lot when I travel, so the soles of my feet can get sore, but soaking them in warm water and getting acupressure at the same time definitely made them feel more comfortable. Sitting with my mom, talking about things that had happened on our trip and looking out at Hanok Village, made the time feel even more relaxed.

A shoulder massage to enjoy during the foot soak
While having the foot soak, you can also use a shoulder massager. You place it on your shoulders and press a button, and it works on those tight shoulders. It felt like letting my whole body rest at once after all that walking.

A rest complete with a drink
One drink is included with the course, and I had tea. Having warm tea while getting a foot soak and shoulder massage made my body feel wonderfully relaxed! I really loved having this kind of leisurely break in the middle of a trip. At first, 30 minutes sounded short, but it felt plenty long once I tried it, and I was happy that I could have tea along with the foot soak and shoulder massage.

Apply some foot cream after the 30 minutes are up, and it’s perfect! I recommend Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang, where you can enjoy a foot soak and shoulder massage while taking in views of Hanok Village.
