True to its reputation as a Gangnam Blue Ribbon Survey pick, the interior was covered with celebrity autographs and the hall was quite spacious yet packed with customers. The hall tables have an open feel, and going up half a floor there's a room-like separated space that looked great for gatherings or company dinners near Gangnam or Sinnonhyeon Station — this Deo Bareun Jeongyuk Sikdang Gangnam Sinnonhyeon Station Main Branch. Maybe because it was a weekend evening, everyone was grilling meat and having drinks in a lively atmosphere, and I couldn't help feeling my mood lift too 🤭 The restroom is outside the restaurant in the building, separated by gender.
True to a proper Gangnam butcher-restaurant, the fridge was packed with fresh beef and pork, and seeing them trim the meat by hand in a corner of the store before bringing it to the table gave me even more trust.
The liquor fridge was fully stocked with all kinds of drinks. Aprons and wet wipes were provided separately.

Reasonably priced lunch specials and meal items are diverse too — hanwoo bone-broth soup, hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap, hanwoo boyangtang, ttukbaegi pa-bulgogi, hanwoo countryside doenjang-jjigae, hot stone octopus bibimbap, hanwoo vegetable bibimbap, Hamheung-style naengmyeon, butter-grilled abalone and lobster, and other premium side dishes.
After reserving in advance, everything was already set up when we arrived — a Sinnonhyeon Station meat restaurant worth the trip.

While I was just stepping away to the restroom for a moment, the meat was already sizzling on the grill — a Sinnonhyeon Station corkage-free meat restaurant. The staff member grilled everything deliciously at lightning speed, so we just had to sit back and wait comfortably, which was so nice and easy. Gangnam's meat restaurants that grill everything for you really are the best!!
The meat got grilled and neatly stacked in the blink of an eye, and between pork belly and pork neck, the pork belly was incredible. I usually prefer pork neck, and while the neck was nicely chewy, the pork belly's crispy, savory texture was truly a work of art. My friend said this was the best Jeju black pork she'd ever had and praised me heaps for picking such a good restaurant — I felt so proud and happy that evening 😊
The myeoljeot (fermented anchovy sauce) served alongside wasn't salty at all, so it went great with the meat, and the side dishes were seasoned just right too.
Eating the healthy vegetables together with the Jeju black pork was absolutely delicious! We ordered 600g of Jeju black pork geun-gogi for two, which felt like it might be slightly on the smaller side but ended up being just the right amount — a Sinnonhyeon Station meat restaurant worth remembering.
Water naengmyeon for 6,000 won to finish the meal
We were too full for a side jjigae (stew), so we ordered a water naengmyeon (6.0) instead as a palate cleanser for dessert. Not a huge portion, but just the right amount for dessert!
