Goods tees and terrace salt coffee at Bakerist Brown, Gangnam bakery

In short

Bakerist Brown is a large bakery café between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station in Seoul that takes up an entire building, from the basement to the 3rd floor. Orders are placed on the 1st floor, and the signature salt coffee and sand cookies arrived within 5 minutes, enjoyed in a sunlit 3rd-floor seat before a look at the shop's own goods and the outdoor terrace tables. The coffee and the bakery were both strong enough to make Bakerist Brown a 100% return visit.

Today I visited a bakery café near Gangnam Station that's famous for its bread — Bakerist Brown :D

A bakery café filling a whole building in the middle of Gangnam

Bakerist Brown is famous for its bakery, so much so that bread lovers make pilgrimages here. And the building was bigger than I expected — a large café taking up an entire building in Gangnam 😊

Inside, there are lots of tables from the basement all the way up, with plenty of space — it looked good for a solo visit or a group.

What's on the bread counter on the 1st floor

You order on the 1st floor, and the moment I opened the door — all that bread..! It looked so delicious and the ingredients looked so fresh that I understood right away why Bakerist Brown is famous as a Gangnam Station bakery :)

True to its reputation as a Gangnam Station bakery, there was a huge variety — the trendy wakppu salt bread, salt bread in various flavors, and madeleines too.

and on top of that, sand cookies, one of Bakerist Brown's signature items. There was so much variety. Since I heard Bakerist Brown is famous not just for bread but for its coffee too, I ordered the famous signature salt coffee and the signature sand cookies :>

Salt coffee in a sunlit 3rd-floor seat at Bakerist Brown

In under 5 minutes of ordering, the coffee and cookies were ready, so I took them up to a sunlit spot on the 3rd floor.

This is the salt coffee, one of Bakerist Brown's famous drinks — Americano on the bottom, with cream on top similar to an Einspänner or Vienna coffee. The cream itself was rich, sweet, with a deep milky flavor and a hint of salt, and eating it together with the Americano underneath gave it such a distinctive, addictive taste ;) The coffee fully lived up to my expectations!!

The colorful signature sand cookies

The sand cookies came packaged in a pretty container — I didn't expect sand cookies to look this colorful and cute.

And the taste — no need to say more. The butter cream tasted like they didn't skimp on ingredients, and the cookie had that soft-yet-crisp texture, exactly the langue de chat style I love! Sandwiched together, it was seriously delicious. Flavors ranged from yellow cheese to strawberry, chocolate, green tea, and Earl Grey — all rich and full-flavored. Just from trying the signature coffee and cookies, I understood exactly why Bakerist Brown is so famous as a Gangnam Station bakery café :D

Bakerist Brown also had all sorts of goods, the kind you only find at famous cafés — I wanted to grab one of the t-shirts myself haha

After spending a cozy time enjoying the salt coffee and sand cookies, I stepped outside and found plenty of tables on the outdoor terrace too. With the cooler weather these days, it looked great for enjoying coffee and bakery items outside :)

Is Bakerist Brown worth a Gangnam coffee stop?

Today I visited Bakerist Brown, famous as a Gangnam Station bakery café — great atmosphere, and both the coffee and bakery items were top notch. I was really glad I came! If I'm ever in the Gangnam or Sinnonhyeon area again, I'd revisit for sure — 100% chance! If you're looking for a comfortable café with great taste and great vibes, I really recommend it :D
