A few days ago, I was looking for brunch and found a café run by a 63 Chef. It was The Nillai, located in Yangchon, Gimpo. The building is impressively large and grand, so it is easy to spot even from a distance, and there is a fairly spacious parking lot right out front, making parking and visiting convenient.

Farm views through expansive windows
Take the elevator down one level and you will find the café—not in a basement, but on the G floor, where peaceful farm views unfold through wide windows. It is quite spacious, with plenty of large, plush sofas that are perfect for reclining at an angle, too.

Warm sunlight pours straight in, making it a lovely place to relax comfortably. It just gives you that healing sort of feeling.

We headed to the counter right away to order. This place is well known as a signature large café run by a 63 Chef. Its coffee is also handled by professional baristas, so the coffee is good as well.

Brunch menu and bakery
Looking over the menu, we ordered the Double Pepperoni Pizza (₩22,000). There was also risotto, pasta, and salad, so you can order according to your taste.

It is a place where you can have a drink with a tasty brunch, and I noticed many people around us were having brunch too. Knowing it was brunch made by a 63 Chef made me look forward to it even more.

They also sell a range of merchandise on one side. The cute duck character immediately caught my eye, and there were lots of practical items, which felt nice.

There was a bakery corner at the front, too. It had around 20 different baked goods, with lots of choices from croissants to fresh-cream bread and carrot cake.

There were meringue cookies that kids would love, along with rusks and brownies, so rather than brunch, it would also be nice to simply pick out a snack to have with coffee.

The café run by a 63 Chef has a wide variety of baked goods, so it was fun choosing. We picked one churro and one croissant from the selection.

A media-art room and resort-like space
For reference, there is also a media-art room next door, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the media art. It is a large space, and the media art keeps changing.

When I went to the other side, there was also a pool-view space with a resort-like atmosphere. This part really made it feel as though I were traveling, which was lovely.

This peaceful café run by a 63 Chef is great for brunch, or for having a cup of coffee and chatting.

Bittersweet coffee and crisp-chewy churros
A little later, we tried the drinks that came out first. They filled the cups right to the top with rich coffee and café latte.

The coffee had a bittersweet, nutty style that I think everyone would enjoy. It had no acidity, so it went down smoothly.

The café latte was also a perfect combination of milk and bittersweet coffee, so it felt especially good with bread.

We also ordered a Bundaberg Pink. They gave us a glass filled with ice, so it was nice to pour it in and drink.

The bakery items at this café run by a 63 Chef paired well with the coffee, so I was very satisfied. In particular, the churro was large, crisp, and chewy, making it great with coffee.

Double Pepperoni Pizza with stretchy cheese
Next came the pepperoni pizza. Cheese and pepperoni sat on top of a crisp crust. There was quite a lot of cheese, so I could really enjoy that chewy texture.

If you visit in the afternoon when you are peckish, it would make a generous snack. For brunch, I think adding a pasta would make it even better.

The combination of wonderfully stretchy cheese and spicy pepperoni was just right at this café run by a 63 Chef. I think I will return next time to try brunch again, or coffee and bakery treats.
