Bundang bar near Migeum Station: 1++ hanwoo tadaki at Hwieol Migeum
In short
Hwieol Migeum Branch is a Korean bar (hansik jujeom) on Kkaridan-gil in Gumi-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, a 4–5 minute walk from Exit 4 of Migeum Station. Stopping in for round two, the writer ordered two draft beers and a bottle of soju with mala cream shrimp at 23,000 won and 1++ hanwoo tadaki at 30,000 won, plus a plate of salmon sashimi served free because the kitchen had run out of the ingredient. With its orange-and-black interior and partitioned sofa booths, Hwieol Migeum works well as a date spot or a second stop after a blind date.

I finally made it to Hwieol Migeum Branch, a spot on Kkaridan-gil in Gumi-dong that's an easy walk from Migeum Station in Bundang — great for a date, too. I'd been meaning to visit for a while, and I finally did.

Where is Hwieol Migeum? 4–5 minutes from Migeum Station Exit 4
Hwieol Migeum Branch sits 360m from Exit 4 of Migeum Station on the Sinbundang and Suin-Bundang lines, about a 4–5 minute walk. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby, so it's easy to work into a route with friends.
The entrance sits on a corner, so it's easy to spot from a distance. On top of the stylish exterior, it's a Korean bar with an izakaya-like atmosphere — I'd recommend it as a date spot near Migeum Station.

Inside Hwieol Migeum: orange-and-black tones and partitioned sofa booths
The inside of Hwieol Migeum Branch feels upscale and has a great mood. Sensuous orange-and-black interior design, moody music, and atmospheric lighting make it an even more special space — perfect for a date near Migeum Station.
The tables are well separated, giving you a private feel without being cramped, in an open layout. Friends, acquaintances, couples, groups, coworkers, and company dinners all come through here.

Off to one side is an open kitchen where you can see the chefs busily preparing food, which makes it feel like an even tastier, more atmospheric place for a drink near Migeum Station.

Drinks at Hwieol Migeum: highballs, whisky, wine, traditional liquor, sake
Hwieol Migeum Branch offers a range of highballs along with a nicely displayed lineup of whisky, wine, traditional liquor, and sake — the atmosphere is really something. Come here for a date, a blind date, or a get-together and you're basically halfway to success haha.
It's great for a first round, but Hwieol Migeum Branch works just as well — maybe even better — as a spot for round two or three near Migeum Station.

What we ordered for round two: two draft beers and a bottle of soju
Along with the complimentary shrimp chips haha, since this was our second stop of the night, we ordered two cold draft beers and a bottle of soju. The draft beer was so cold it was almost like drinking iced beer.

You can browse the menu and order through the tablet at each table, and check your order history right away too, which makes things really convenient.

First things first, I took a big gulp of the cold draft beer. Draft beer really is the truth. The interior is clean and modern, which makes the mood even better, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout, so we got to enjoy the whole vibe of the evening.

Why the salmon sashimi came free at Hwieol Migeum
I ordered the salmon sashimi, and since they didn't have much salmon left, they gave it to us as a complimentary dish... I was genuinely touched. Definitely try the salmon sashimi if you can — it's incredibly fresh, tender, and top-grade in flavor. A real recommendation for anyone who loves salmon. I'm still thinking about it.

Looking at this color and the freshness of each slice of salmon sashimi, next time I'll properly order it and eat even more.
We enjoyed it with the wasabi that came alongside.

Paired with the salmon's color, along with the ginger and sauces served as basics, it's a flavor that literally melts softly in your mouth.

Mala cream shrimp, 23,000 won: fried shrimp in mala cream sauce
The mala cream shrimp at Hwieol Migeum Branch is ₩23,000. Plump fried shrimp, fried onions, and a smooth, savory mala cream sauce all come together beautifully. It's served with a lettuce salad. Every single dish here feels thoughtful and special.
With handmade dishes done right and friendly service, Hwieol Migeum Branch is a Korean bar near Migeum Station that's fully enjoyable and cheerful the whole time you're there.

Each shrimp is huge and substantial. Soft yet chewy, it pairs perfectly with the generous layer of mala cream sauce on top. Fried onions sit underneath, and it's even better with the lettuce salad.

This is close to Michelin-level flavor — a special dish worth coming back for once you've had it. I now understand why Hwieol Migeum Branch is known as a go-to date spot in Migeum.

Signature 1++ hanwoo tadaki, 30,000 won, with crispy laver and ponzu sauce
Hwieol Migeum Branch's signature dish, the 1++ hanwoo tadaki (lightly seared 1++-grade Korean beef), is ₩30,000. It's made with 1++ grade hanwoo, paired with crispy seasoned laver (gimbugak), wasabi, ponzu sauce, and a side of lettuce salad — an out-of-this-world combination haha. The look of it alone is insane. Each thick slice of hanwoo tadaki is so tender and clean-tasting.

Paired with wasabi and the lettuce salad, you get another dimension of flavor — the color and the juices are just overflowing. One bite and I immediately understood why it's the popular dish here.

The savory, clean, crunchy crispy laver is a great combo too. Each thick slice looks stunning even just in photos.

Mixing and matching different pairings, bite after bite, I'll have to bring my friends back to Hwieol Migeum Branch — my own little secret spot near Migeum Station for a good time.

On the way out, I snapped one more shot of that great entrance. Modern, stylish, with care put into every single handmade dish — Hwieol Migeum Branch is a Bundang date spot, a great blind-date venue, a birthday party spot, and a place I'd recommend to any food lover.
