Hi, this is Kkomajun :) Today I visited 26do Hair Suseong Branch, well known for perms, cuts, and rebonding! It's located on the 2nd floor of the Suseong Lotte Castle The First apartment complex, haha.

You can park in the apartment complex parking lot~ Parking is free and super convenient, and the restrooms were clean too, which I really liked hahaha.

Root straightening prices and the first-visit discount

They said it's a salon with a 30% first-visit discount plus no extra length fee! If you come on your first visit you can get these benefits, haha. As for the root rebonding I wanted, apparently it's a newer treatment made for people who tend to do full rebonding every month or two!

Consultation with Director Taerim

We started with a basic consultation. Director Taerim specializes in Daegu-style layered perms that suit your face shape and vibe, haha. Her signature treatments are layered perm, rebonding/setting, Elizabeth perm, and personal color consulting! She analyzes face shape, hair texture, volume, and lifestyle to create a look that's naturally understated yet clearly polished. Recommended if you want a style that's easy to manage and long-lasting, with an elegant mood matched to your skin tone and image 😍🙌

I was so thirsty I asked for water, and she thoughtfully brought cookies and snacks too 👍

I got a shampoo first and came out, and my hair looked really dry at a glance ㅠㅠ She said scalp care and moisture care every day would be good. I know... I should... but when am I ever going to do that ㅠㅠ

How much of the hair does root straightening cover?

I came to the salon because my roots had grown out and felt noticeably frizzy lately~~! I got root rebonding done by Director Taerim! Since it says she specializes in volume rebonding too, I could trust her with it, haha. During the consultation she said my hair isn't super curly, so doing root rebonding every 6 months should be enough. This time she straightened about 9-10cm ^^ Doing more than that damages the hair too much ㅠ.ㅠ

Step by step: how the root straightening was done

Softener, then shampoo -> straightened section by section with the flat iron! -> neutralizer applied and rinsed out, and that's it. Here's what it looked like right after the treatment, hahaha.

The result: 9cm of frizzy regrowth smoothed out

It got so straight, and even if it's temporary, it felt super soft, so I was really happy, haha. Doing only rebonding gets a little boring, though...lol, but I'm scared perms or dyeing will damage my hair faster, so I can't try other styles ㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋ She also trimmed the length for free~ Finished with no layers!

Director Taerim has a lot of reviews already, but having the treatment done myself, she's quiet but a real hidden expert! ㄷㄷㄷ Overall I'm so satisfied that I highly recommend this Suseong-gu salon, hahaha.
