I finally did it !! I got rid of all my damaged hair 🙊🫶🏼 All that hair I bleached 4-5 times while working as a hair model — cut off .. 🤍 And these days that awkward in-between length is trending, right? Plus I had an important event coming up, so I went and got a layered cut.

Demon Hair Sinchon Branch is a hair salon close to exit 1 of Sinchon Station on line 2. You can also walk about 10 minutes from Seogang University Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line. The weather's nice these days, so if you're taking the Gyeongui-Jungang Line, I'd recommend walking 🫶🏼

It's right across from Hyundai Department Store Sinchon, so it was really accessible and easy to get to.

It's located on the 2nd floor, and it's been steadily popular since 2007, with lots of regulars.

The interior of Demon Hair Sinchon Branch was clean and tidy. Even though I visited during Sunday's very first slot, there were quite a lot of people! Lots of regulars kept coming in even while I was getting my hair cut 🫶🏼

While waiting, they brought me tea and snacks, and the seat looked out onto the garden in front of the department store, so the view was nice too 🤍

Hair bleached 4-5 times: how the layered cut consultation went

I got a layered cut from the manager at Demon Hair Sinchon Branch. Thanks to the bright, relaxed atmosphere and the consultation with the manager, I was able to choose and cut exactly the length that suited me .. 🤍

The ends were so damaged and split that I was thinking of either getting a treatment or a cut. For the cut, I was thinking of a short-to-medium length, and honestly I didn't have much hope for the treatment.

The manager looked at the state of my hair and through a 1:1 consultation, we decided together •• She said a slightly longer length than short-medium would suit me better, and recommended a layered cut that would trim the minimum amount 🖤 So we went with that trendy, in-between medium length(?), a bit below the collarbone, and cut off about a fistful !!

Cutting off the damaged hair felt bittersweet — sad about the length getting shorter, but my hair texture got so much better .. 🤍
