Yeoido Korean BBQ after work with valet parking: Smile Samgyeop

I was craving chewy grilled pork so badly after work! I heard about Yeoido Minari Samgyeop Main Branch and rushed over with a friend ( •͈ᴗ•͈)ෆ

The place gave off serious 'good restaurant' energy from the entrance, so we walked in full of anticipation!

Walking distance from Yeouido Station and Saetgang Station, plus parking

It's in a commercial building right in central Yeoido, so it was really easy to find! It's a quick walk from the subway station, which was great ٩(ºั︶ºั )

Even if you drive, you can use the underground parking lot and there's valet parking too — the parking convenience is amazing!

Two-floor atmosphere and pork belly prices

The inside was so much bigger and more comfortable than I expected — I was surprised! There's even a whole second floor, so the seating feels really spacious (´._.`) The gaps between tables are wide too, so there's no cramped feeling at all — a great atmosphere for a relaxed meal!

Looking at the menu, they have both samgyeopsal (three-layer pork belly) and ogeopsal (five-layer pork belly)! We decided right away on the ₩17,000 ogeopsal for its chewy texture ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و It comes with kimchi and minari, so our expectations shot up!

Starting with the free stew

As soon as we ordered, the table setting started coming out one by one, and it was so touching that a stew came free with the meal! One spoonful of the savory broth warmed me right up and got my appetite going before the meat even arrived! The quality of the complimentary broth was way better than expected — very satisfying!

Chewy pork belly and a mountain of minari

A bit later, the pork belly they brought out looked genuinely different in quality! As it cooked golden brown on the grill, the savory meat smell spread through the air and I could feel my mouth watering (๑•̀ – •́) You could tell just by looking how chewy the skin part was — I wanted to eat it right away!

Once the meat had cooked enough, the staff member piled minari on top! They stacked it up like an actual mountain, and I was amazed at the visual ٩(ºั︶ºั ) As the kimchi and minari sizzled in the meat drippings, the smell was so incredible it drove me crazy!

I tried wrapping a well-cooked piece of pork belly in the sautéed minari! The outside was crispy and the inside was juicy, with the fragrant minari aroma filling my mouth ( '́⌣'̀ ) Combined with the chewy texture of the skin, I couldn't help but let out a 'wow' with every bite!

Adding well-cooked kimchi on top of that made for a dreamy combo I couldn't stop eating! The minari's fresh, tangy scent cut right through the richness, so I could keep eating without ever getting tired of it!

The portions were really generous too, so we got to eat until we were completely full! My friend kept giving a thumbs up saying it was really delicious, which made me proud (ू˃o˂ू) The combo of grilled kimchi and fragrant greens never fails!

Good for a work dinner or group gathering?

Thanks to the comfortable interior with a whole second floor, it seems really well suited for group gatherings or after-work dinners! Being able to use the parking service so easily is a big plus too!
