Pregnant date night sharing set at Gapposo, a Gasan Digital Complex
In short
Gapposo is a Japanese restaurant in Geumcheon, Seoul, near Gasan Digital Complex Station, on the 1st floor of Hyundai Terra Tower Gasan DK. Visiting on a weekday evening, a couple ordered the ₩59,000 two-person sharing menu and got what felt like a full course: sesame porridge, four kinds of aged sashimi, kaisen-don and unagi-don, udon, and spicy chicken karaage, drink included. The sashimi was fresh enough to eat worry-free even during pregnancy, and the value beat ordering à la carte, making it a solid pick for a Gasan date.

Gasan's Japanese restaurant hotspot Gapposo 🍣🍤🍱 Monday to Friday it's open 11:30–22:00, with a break from 15:00–17:00 and last order at 21:30. On Saturdays it's 11:00–20:00 with the same break window and last order at 19:30, and it's closed every Sunday.
My husband and I had walked past Gapposo, this Gasan Japanese restaurant, while strolling around during lunch breaks together. It always looked like a nice atmosphere, and I kept meaning to try it — and finally! We went for dinner together on a weekday.
I'm pregnant, so I figured I'd get the unagi-don and my husband would get the kaisen-don, but the two-person sharing menu came with sashimi too, so my pent-up sashimi cravings 😣 got resolved at Gapposo hahaha. Want to see how our happy dinner feast, the kaisen-don & unagi-don sharing set for two, went?!
Gapposo's location and parking

Gapposo, the Gasan Japanese restaurant we went to for dinner, sits not far from Gasan Digital Complex Station, so it was really easy to get to!
Parking is also available — if you drive and mention it, they'll register 2 hours of free parking for you!
Inside the restaurant — there's room seating too

Stepping inside, the atmosphere had that neat, refined feel of a Gasan Japanese restaurant hotspot, with Japanese-style interior that made me feel like I'd landed in Japan! There are also separate room seats, which seemed great for gatherings, company dinners, or dates.
Dinner two-person sharing menu, ₩59,000

My husband was planning on kaisen-don and I was going for unagi-don, and while the lunch menu is sold à la carte, the dinner menu comes as a two-person sharing set served almost like a full course! Even ordering à la carte would run about ₩50,000 easily, so getting it as a course-style sharing set for ₩59,000 felt like really good value!

We ordered the two-person sharing kaisen-don & unagi-don set at Gapposo, this Gasan Japanese restaurant hotspot!
Appetizer: sesame porridge
First up as an appetizer was sesame porridge! Warm and nutty, not too seasoned, it took the edge off our hunger nicely.
You can also choose your drink

The drink included in the two-person sharing set is also selectable, so we ordered zero-sugar cola.
Four kinds of aged sashimi
Next came the aged sashimi! There were four different kinds in total, portioned so each of us got one piece of each.

Seeing the fresh aged sashimi at Gapposo, this Gasan Japanese restaurant hotspot… after four months of pregnancy without sashimi, my eyes lit right up and I dug in happily 🤗
My husband even gave up his portion of sashimi for me, so I got to enjoy a very happy little sashimi indulgence 😋 It was fresh enough that even as a pregnant woman I could eat it without worry. I think it's because Gapposo also serves omakase — they clearly know how to source fresh fish — that I felt safe eating sashimi.

And then the main event of this Gasan Japanese restaurant dinner! The two-person sharing main dishes, kaisen-don and unagi-don, arrived. The moment the lids came off, the neat, pretty presentation had me so excited 😖🍽 It genuinely felt like I was eating in Japan!
What does the kaisen-don taste like?

The kaisen-don had colorful sashimi arranged neatly and beautifully over vinegared rice~~! You just dab on soy sauce with the brush provided. The vinegared rice was seasoned just right, almost like eating sushi~~ in flavor. The fish was fresh too, so it was really delicious...
What's in the unagi-don

The unagi-don I ate! It had plain rice topped with rolled egg and seasoned eel. The eel itself was plump with a good chewy texture and a nutty flavor — really tasty~ My husband and I kept exclaiming over both the kaisen-don and unagi-don at Gapposo, this Gasan Japanese restaurant hotspot, and had such a happy feast!
Noodle dish: udon

Udon came together with the kaisen-don and unagi-don! Gapposo's udon noodles are generally on the thicker side, plump and delicious~ There's just some kind of magic where udon at a Japanese restaurant always tastes even better!!! ✨
Spicy chicken karaage

And the final dish, spicy pepper karaage! Spicy and crispy — so delicious!
Weekday evening dinner for two: final thoughts
Every single dish was so neat and beautifully presented, and above all the flavors were excellent too — all for under ₩60,000 as a two-person sharing set. The kaisen-don & unagi-don were both great value and delicious, so I was really satisfied. Next time I'd love to try the omakase with my husband!!! The food and atmosphere were so good that I'd recommend Gapposo as a date spot in Gasan~!
