Ansan Italian restaurant for lamb chops and pasta: That Man's
In short
That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge is an Italian restaurant on the sixth floor of Dongwon Building in Jungang-dong, Ansan. I had scallop anchovy oil pasta and medium-rare lamb chops; the terrace-facing seating and food were satisfying, though soundproofing between private rooms was limited.

Where is it, and how does parking work?
That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge (그남자의이태리식당&라운지) is on the sixth floor of Dongwon Building in Jungang-dong, Ansan. I had saved it before visiting, and this time I made a reservation to have pasta and lamb chops.
The information said one hour of free parking is supported at five locations: the public parking lot in front of Dongwon Building, in front of Geumsan Building, in front of Jungang Heights Ville, in front of Lotte Department Store, and in front of Megabox. For Lotte Cinema Central Rock parking, there was guidance for ₩2,000 in support, but the original described this differently as cash support and a meal discount, so the method of application needs to be confirmed.

Hours are 12:00–22:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 17:00. Last order is at 21:00, and it is regularly closed every Monday.
Is the atmosphere suited to a date or family gathering?
There was a plaque at the entrance reading “Ansan’s good restaurant.” When I visited, the restaurant was neat and not noisy, so I thought it would be suitable for a date or an anniversary meal.

The main dining area has tables for two and four, with fairly wide spacing between them.

Further inside is a private room that can accommodate up to 18 people. It was introduced as a space for family meals, formal family meetings, first-birthday parties, and company dinners.

However, the soundproofing between rooms was somewhat disappointing. It would be best to dine quietly with the neighboring room in mind.

Since I visited with a reservation, the table had been set in advance. The outdoor terrace was visible beside my seat, so it did not feel closed in, and I ate in a relaxed atmosphere.

What can you order: courses or à la carte?
The signature menu is the signature main course. It was listed as 10 courses, from appetizer through steak and dessert, for around ₩60,000. There are also à la carte pasta, steak, and risotto options, so we ordered two individual dishes.

After ordering, bread arrived right away. It was pleasantly warm and good to eat before starting the meal.

What did the scallop anchovy oil pasta taste like?
The first dish was scallop anchovy oil pasta.

It is a spicy oil pasta flavored with scallop adductor muscle and anchovies.

It also included arugula, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes. It was my first time trying pasta with anchovies, but its savory depth was better than I expected and suited my taste well.

I liked it so much that I finished the pasta quickly.

How were the lamb chops cooked and served?
I had the lamb chop steak as my main, cooked medium-rare as I prefer. It was described as using lamb younger than 12 months.

Mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant, and cherry tomatoes were served beneath the lamb chops. Whole-grain mustard, salt, and balsamic were included, along with a sauce that tasted like green grapes to me. I do not know the exact name of that sauce.

The lamb chops had no gamey smell, and I enjoyed them at my preferred doneness.

What dessert came after the meal?
I finished with an egg tart and vanilla ice cream. It was a dessert available for joining the receipt review event at the time of my visit.

I was satisfied to have pasta and lamb chops followed by a sweet dessert. The room soundproofing was disappointing, but the relaxed terrace-facing seat and the food met my expectations. Next time, I would like to return for the course meal.
