I've been eating such heavy lunches lately that I get so sleepy every afternoon lol. So this time I decided to eat a bit lighter, searched for salads near Gyodae Station, and ended up at Salering Gyodae Direct Store.

If I just eat salad, I tend to get hungry again quickly, so I don't usually go for it. But Salering Gyodae Direct Store has such a wide menu — poke, protein bowls, salads, soups — that it turned out to be a surprisingly filling meal.

Where is Salering Gyodae Direct Store, and is there parking?
Salering Gyodae Direct Store is only about 193m from Exit 1 of Gyodae Station, so it's a quick walk. It opens at 8:15 AM on weekdays, so it's fine to drop by for breakfast or lunch too.

The parking space in front of the store offers 1 hour free parking when you order a food menu item. Parking around Gyodae can be a bit of a hassle, so this was a nice surprise if you're driving.
🥗 What's on the menu at this Gyodae Station salad spot

At first I assumed it was just a salad place, but looking at the menu board, there were so many options.

There's bibim poke, protein bowls, pasta, slim-pack lunchboxes, salads, and soups.

The poke types are diverse too — fried tofu, soy meat, chicken breast, shrimp & scallop, raw salmon, steak, and more. If you want rice, go for the protein bowl; if you want something lighter, go for salad or poke. You can just pick based on how hungry you are that day.
So it seemed like a solid choice for a Gyodae Station lunch, and there were plenty of options for anyone looking for a Gyodae Station diet menu too.
✔️ What I ordered at Salering
That day I picked the shrimp & scallop bibim poke salad (₩12,900), butter corn soup (₩4,900), and sweet pumpkin cheese soup (₩4,900). For the poke, I chose an all-vegetable base and ordered the Salering bibim sauce as dressing!

Each poke had a recommended dressing listed next to it, which made it easy when I wasn't sure what to choose. There are so many dressing options that even the same poke could taste different every time you mix it up.
🦐 Shrimp and scallop bibim poke salad, 12,900 won
My first thought the moment I got it was: the toppings are more generous than I expected! Big chunks of shrimp and scallop on top, plus a good amount of vegetables.
Egg, red cabbage, tomato, shredded egg garnish, and more were all mixed in, so even with just a vegetable base, it didn't feel bare at all.
I especially love scallops, so the shrimp + scallop combo was right up my alley. It's not just a salad where you munch on vegetables — there's fun in picking out different bites.
I mixed in the Salering bibim sauce and tossed everything together. Once the sauce goes in, it definitely feels more like a real meal than a plain salad. You know those days when you want salad but don't want something too bland? This menu worked well for that.
🥣 Butter corn and sweet pumpkin cheese soup, 4,900 won each

With just salad, I always feel like the meal isn't quite finished lol. So I ordered soup too — butter corn soup (₩4,900) and sweet pumpkin cheese soup (₩4,900).
Looking at the menu, there were also clear tofu egg soup, bacon potato soup, carrot tomato soup, truffle mushroom soup, and more. If one poke bowl feels like it's not quite enough, adding a soup is a good move.
Alternating between the warm soup and the cold vegetables made the meal feel much more complete. Genuinely delicious soup ❤️
🌾 Choosing your base: all vegetables or rice
I noticed the store also offers a low-calorie brown rice and barley option — described as low-calorie brown rice and barley made with olive oil to help lower blood sugar.
You can go all-vegetable like I did, or add a grain base on days when you want rice. Since a weekday office lunch is something you eat every day, being able to switch up the combination like this actually matters a lot.
👩🏻💻 Eating alone at Salering near Gyodae Station
Since you can order through the kiosk, going in alone didn't feel awkward at all. Choose your menu, order, eat, done. Takeout is also available, so it looks convenient as a Gyodae Station takeout option on busy days.

This is the kind of place that comes to mind on days you have to eat alone near the office, or when a heavy meal feels like too much because of afternoon plans. Beyond salad, there are also bowls and pasta, so it's easy to pick something even if you and your companion have different cravings.

💬 One-line verdict
A poke restaurant near Gyodae Station that's good for days when plain salad feels too little but a heavy lunch feels like too much!
Personally, having poke with shrimp and scallop alongside a warm soup made for a pretty filling meal. Next time I want to try the protein bowl. If you work in the Gyodae area and can't decide on lunch, this is worth a visit :)
