Bundang Vietnamese restaurant with 1-hour parking: bánh mì at Kkamon

The weather's suddenly turned chilly, right? Ever get a craving for a steaming, refreshing bowl of authentic Vietnamese-style broth? I went to a Vietnamese restaurant near Jeongja Station last week that's been getting a ton of buzz!

It's called Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store, and from the vibe to the taste it was totally my thing, so I had to spread the word~~ If you're looking for a good meal nearby, stick around to the end of this post!

How to get to Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store, and where to park

Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store is close enough to Jeongja Station that it's really easy to walk to~ For people driving to Jeongja Station, parking is always the biggest headache, but here you can use the building's own parking lot, which makes things so much easier! After we ate, they gave us a 1-hour parking registration! There are a lot of shops around Jeongja Station where parking is a nightmare, so having parking available here was a huge plus~~

Inside Kkamon Jeongja: a dining room that feels like Vietnam

The moment you open the door, the colorful interior and the props with real Vietnamese vibes catch your eye! It's decorated in such a cute, stylish way that it almost feels like you're traveling in Vietnam. Even though it was a bit past lunchtime, customers kept coming in, which made me think I'd found the right place!

Kkamon's main menu and prices: pho from ₩10,000

Looking over the menu, there's a wide range from different types of pho to rice dishes and sides. The signature pho runs ₩10,000–13,000, and the fried rice and bánh mì are also around ₩10,000, which is pretty reasonable given today's prices!!

After some deliberation, we confidently ordered the signature Kkamon Pho (₩11,000), Kkamon Fried Rice (₩13,000), and a Bánh Mì Sandwich (₩9,000)!

Kkamon pho, ₩11,000: how is the broth?

When the food came out, I took a spoonful of the broth first, you know? The broth was so refreshing and deep in flavor that I couldn't stop spooning it up! I loved how clean the taste was!

There was a generous amount of meat topping too, and the noodles had soaked up all that broth flavor, so I basically inhaled it!

Kkamon fried rice, ₩13,000: nutty and perfectly seasoned

Next up was the Kkamon Fried Rice, and the fluffy texture of the rice grains was really on point. There was meat and egg in it too, so protein: fully charged!!!

When you order Vietnamese-style fried rice, the seasoning can sometimes be too strong or salty, but here it was neither too salty nor too weak — just right! Mixing the sweet-salty pork topping into the rice, the savory flavor spread all through my mouth.

Bánh mì sandwich, ₩9,000: the bread steals the show

But the real highlight of the day was the bánh mì! You know how with most bánh mì, the baguette bread is so hard it scrapes the roof of your mouth?

Here, the bánh mì bread is soft with a crispy outside, so I let out an involuntary gasp the moment I took a bite. The combination of meat, vegetables, and sauce inside was perfect too. I'm definitely ordering this again next time I come!! Seriously, add the bánh mì~~~

₩30,000 for two: honest verdict and tips for Kkamon Bundang Jeongja

Overall, everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were generous, so it was a really satisfying meal. For around ₩30,000, two people can eat until they're completely full. Whether you have plans near Jeongja Station on a weekday or weekend, or just want a great lunch, I think you can drop by here without a second thought!

Also, the bánh mì is available to take out! So share the delicious stuff with your family, haha~! And they also have a cold pho menu! That would be great to eat when it's hot out. I'll have to try that next time!
