Solo dinner poke in Seocho: salmon-topped chicken at Olla Poke

I ended up eating dinner alone, so I decided to grab something near the office on the way home. Lunch had been a bit heavy, so I wanted something lighter for dinner — salad or poke — and luckily there was a poke place near the office, so I stopped by.

Where is Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch? Basement level between Seocho and Gyodae stations

The place is called "Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch," located right in the restaurant alley exactly between Seocho Station and Gyodae Station. Checking Naver, it turned out not to be an old shop — the opening notice went up on March 25, 2026, so it was a new business, about 6 months old.

Salad and poke places are usually on the first floor, but this one is in the basement, so it was a bit confusing to find at first. At lunchtime I usually just walk into whatever's empty, so from that angle the accessibility felt a little lacking.

The building is called Daejin Building, and there's a sign board at the entrance. You just head down to the basement level.

Solo tables, phone chargers and the evening mood at Olla Poke

The inside of Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch was bigger than I expected, and kept neat and clean. There were tables for solo dining, and they'd even set up phone chargers at the tables (nice touch). Since it was evening and seats were plentiful, I skipped the solo table and settled comfortably into a bigger one.

Even though it's a salad place, the interior had a strange vibe that somehow felt like it would also suit beer and pizza.

Ordering is done at the kiosk. The signature menu items seemed to be salmon poke (₩13,500), steak poke (₩14,000), and chicken breast poke (₩11,000), and there were also add-on options to choose from. In the evening they also seemed to sell pizza? (need to confirm).

Each poke bowl has a set composition and sauce by default, but you can customize it too. If I come here often, I think I could find a delicious combination.

Chicken breast poke with a salmon topping added, 14,500 won

Since I was eating alone, I only ordered one item. What I ordered was chicken breast poke with a salmon topping added. The price was ₩14,500 (₩11,000 without the salmon).

The order came out. Since there were no fried or grilled ingredients, it came out about 3 minutes after ordering. Personally I'm not a fan of the pineapple, but the rest of the composition was pretty solid. Eyeballing it, it had all the basic poke ingredients — corn, chickpeas, barley rice — and the portion was generous. The sauce was sriracha! I personally prefer mixing everything together rather than dipping (kind of looks like dog food, but whatever), so I poured the sauce on right away and started eating.

Does one poke bowl really fill you up for a whole meal?

Usually when I eat poke I always feel like I only got 0.7 servings, leaving me a bit empty inside, but Olla Poke gave me a full one-serving amount of fullness. None of the toppings felt skimpy either.

I ate in a rush, but maybe because I was alone, I finished in about 10 minutes and got up. There aren't as many poke or salad restaurants near the office as I'd expect, so this had been a bit of a struggle — but I get the feeling I'll be coming back here often.

Once you're done eating, just move your bowl to the tray return station — that's it.

The shop has two entrances. I came in through the second one, and I did wonder where the other entrance leads.
