Why someone who disliked pho came to Mibundang Myeongji Branch

I hate pho but love Mibundang — that's me. Mibundang is actually how I got into pho at all. I used to not touch pho because I couldn't stand that spice smell, but ever since I first ate at Mibundang, I've become someone who has to eat Mibundang pho regularly — a certified Mibundang lover. I had some family business in Myeongji recently, so I stopped by Mibundang Myeongji Branch for the local pho.

Even though I'm the type whose appetite changes with the seasons, I still ended up eating Mibundang pho often even in the middle of summer! Let me leave an honest review of my visit to the Myeongji branch.

What is Mibundang Myeongji Branch like inside?

Anyone who's been to Mibundang even once knows it has its own particular atmosphere. Whether you're eating alone or with company, they aim for a quiet, comfortable dining mood. Every time I visit, I really love and appreciate that hushed, soft-spoken atmosphere, which is honestly why I keep coming back.

Ordering, waiting and takeout at Mibundang Myeongji Branch

At Mibundang Myeongji Branch, you order at the kiosk on the right side of the store. If there's a table free, you can sit right away; if not, they call you in by ticket number order. When we visited it was full, so we waited a little before getting seated — and honestly, waiting a bit before you get into Mibundang somehow makes it taste even better........ T_T

Turns out Mibundang Myeongji Branch also does takeout — both fully cooked and semi-cooked versions are available, and quite a few people were picking up orders. I thought, lucky people who live near the Myeongji branch........ jealous........

Always the brisket-tendon pho at Mibundang

You don't need to try every single item on the menu — order the beef brisket and tendon pho and it's basically got everything in one bowl haha. So my order is always the brisket and tendon pho. Never changes, brisket and tendon pho forever.

If you're cold from the AC, there are blankets ready in the back, and there's a coat hook behind the seats where you can hang your jacket. There's also a receipt review event — leave a review and you get a free order of the off-menu shrimp rolls, 2 pieces, so don't forget to claim that!

Sauce and hair ties are placed up above the seats, so use them if you need to. On the table they give you side dishes, water, and a small plate. Since it's such a quiet atmosphere, if you need a refill later you don't need to call a staff member over — just leave the empty dish on the table and they'll come refill it, so keep that in mind!

How to eat Mibundang pho at its best

You could definitely just eat the pho as it comes, but it's also great to take out some noodles, bean sprouts, and meat, mix in onion and hot sauce, and eat it that way. There are three kinds of sauce, so it's fun to experiment and find the combination that fits your own taste.

For me, mixing it with hot sauce is the tastiest way. The combo of bean sprouts + meat + pho noodles + hot sauce is unbelievably good.

Sides: potato-wrapped shrimp and wedding shaomai

We also ordered sides — potato-wrapped shrimp and wedding shaomai. Whenever I go to Mibundang I end up ordering a side dish too, since the sides are generally delicious. Sharing one of each is great! Definitely order and try them.

Does the broth at the Myeongji branch taste different from other Mibundang branches?

Mibundang is one of the restaurants I visit often, and I liked that the broth at Myeongji Branch was mild, not too salty, while still tasting clearly of the broth itself. The taste varies slightly branch to branch, and personally, Myeongji Branch suits my palate the best. Some branches have a stronger seasoning, but here it wasn't heavy at all, and I left without any lingering heaviness in my mouth — just refreshed.

Parking at Mibundang Myeongji Branch

The parking lot was spacious, which I liked, and since it's free for the first hour of circulation, there's no need to register your car separately.

Great for visiting with family, and just as good for eating solo — that's Mibundang! If you're looking for a good pho place in Myeongji, I'd recommend Mibundang Myeongji Branch!
