Mibundang Myeongji Branch is a pho spot that started from the original branch in Sinchon, and I first tasted it in Bundang a while back and never forgot the flavor. When I heard it had landed in Myeongji too, I went to check it out — here's my review of Mibundang Myeongji Branch, a Myeongji favorite.

How to find the restaurant in the arcade

Mibundang Myeongji Branch, a Myeongji favorite, is located in the shopping arcade of The Sharp Myeongji First World Complex 3.

Park in the underground parking of the POSCO Complex 3 arcade, take the elevator up to basement level 1, and walk around the CU convenience store — it's easy to find from there.
Kiosk ordering and how long is the wait?

At Mibundang Myeongji Branch, you order at the kiosk before entering, and if a seat is available, you go straight in. There's usually a wait, and apparently the whole party has to be present before you can enter!

Mibundang has reinvented Vietnamese pho to suit Korean tastes! There's tea available to drink before your meal, and I drank mine on the way out — it really helped with digestion.

Inside Mibundang Myeongji Branch: seating and table sauces
Mibundang Myeongji Branch is a pho spot in the international new town where you can eat in a quiet, comfortable atmosphere! Blankets at the entrance and coat hooks behind the seats were a thoughtful touch that made things comfortable.

A Vietnamese pho spot with a bar-style layout, good for solo dining without any awkwardness, and also great for a date.

There are spoons and napkins in a drawer under the table, and hoisin sauce, chili sauce, and hot sauce on a shelf overhead so you can season to taste — really nice.
As soon as I sat down, water and banchan (side dishes) arrived. Heart pounding with anticipation while waiting for the pho, I brushed up on how to enjoy Mibundang properly.
Mibundang Myeongji Branch menu and prices

Mibundang Myeongji Branch's menu includes Vietnamese pho varieties — brisket, flank, brisket-and-flank, brisket-and-flank-with-tendon, and tendon — plus side dishes and drinks.

By joining the Naver receipt review event, I got 2 pieces of the not-for-sale hidden menu item, shrimp rolls.
What we ordered for lunch

- Brisket pho ₩10,000
- Brisket-and-flank pho ₩12,500
- Assorted appetizer platter (5 types, 8pc) ₩8,500
How the brisket pho and brisket-and-flank pho taste
The brisket pho features tender brisket alone on top of a rich broth. Such a generous meat topping! I was surprised at how much there was — you could barely see the noodles underneath.
Wrapping soft brisket in the tender noodles along with crunchy bean sprouts was genuinely delicious. Mixing hot sauce and hoisin sauce in a 4:1 ratio and eating it with onion gave it a whole different flavor.

The brisket-and-flank pho is a rich-broth pho topped with both tender brisket and flank.

The nuttiness of the brisket and the clean flavor of the flank came together in perfect balance — I kept slurping away and finished a hearty bowl of pho. It tasted similar to what I had in Hanoi, Vietnam, yet the deep, rich broth felt tailored perfectly to Korean palates. 👍

Adding cilantro and free noodle refills
The one thing pho can't do without — cilantro! I asked the staff and had it added straight into my bowl.
With any single-serving meal order, noodles, bean sprouts, and broth all get free refills!!! Adding a swirl of Mibundang's hot sauce to the noodles gave it a spicy kick that was great for curing a hangover.
Assorted appetizer platter, 8,500 won for 5 kinds

The assorted appetizer platter lets you enjoy all of Mibundang's side dishes at once.

Sweet potato spring rolls & scallop spring rolls. The sweet potato spring rolls are packed with sweet mousse, and the scallop spring rolls are crispy. One bite and the crispy-outside, tender-inside texture made them a perfect pairing with Mibundang's pho.
Wedding siu mai & potato-wrapped shrimp. Bite-sized wedding siu mai and plump shrimp wrapped in crispy fried potato. The crunchy fried coating went perfectly with the pho.

The buffalo wings were fried golden and crispy, with a salty flavor that whetted the appetite and paired well with the pho.
