I went to Mikado Sushi Chungnam Seosan Branch for lunch with my sister! 😊 I had visited once before and remembered eating so well, so I came back this time! It wasn't just that it had been decent after one visit—it came back to mind later, and I ended up returning haha. So this time, I went for lunch with my sister. Since it was a return visit, I wondered whether it would be just as good, and once again, I left very satisfied! 😋

Easy parking, and every plate is ₩2,100

Mikado Sushi Seosan Branch has a large parking lot, so parking was easy. Just give them your vehicle number when you leave after your meal!

Parking information at Mikado Sushi

Mikado Sushi is a premium conveyor-belt sushi restaurant where every plate costs ₩2,100. At typical conveyor-belt sushi places, plates are often different colors with different prices, but all the plates here are the same color, which was convenient. Being able to pick whatever sushi you want without worrying about the price is such a big plus. One reason I made it to a second visit was that it tastes good without feeling expensive. That may be why so many people looking for sushi in Seosan seem to come here.

It was busy even at weekday opening time

Mikado Sushi opens at 11:30 a.m., with a break from 3 to 4 p.m. Last orders are at 9 p.m., and the restaurant closes at 9:20 p.m. There had been so many people on my previous visit that I waited a little. So this time, I came right at opening time! But even though it was a weekday, there were so many people. I thought, this really must be a popular Seosan restaurant haha. You can register through Catchtable at the front, so we entered our number too, and at 11:30 we were shown to our seats.

Opening-time visit and waiting information

What are the seats and ordering process like?

Inside, there are tables for two and tables for four to six people. Luckily, we did not have to wait, but since it is such a popular Seosan spot, lots of people were doing an opening-time run.

Once you sit down, a staff member explains how everything works. Each seat has a number, and if there is something you want besides the sushi going around on the belt, you can write it on a slip and hand it to a staff member.

Hot broth and water are available too, but the broth was really hot! 🔥 Give it a few shakes before pouring it and drinking.

You can also order sushi lunchboxes for takeout, and they were still running a promotion for one free sushi plate when you write a review. At ₩2,100 a plate, that is such a good deal, right?! haha. You can exchange it for a drink too! Wi-Fi is also available by QR code, which was very convenient.

We picked eel, beef tartare, and salmon sushi

As soon as we sat down, I looked at the sushi and there were so many varieties. Fresh sushi was coming out constantly, and new items including sea urchin roe and Mega Shrimp caught my eye.

I ate so many different delicious things on my previous visit too, and this time there were once again lots of appetizing options. Right from the start, we picked a variety of things including eel, beef tartare, and salmon sushi.

My favorite item from my last visit had been the salmon sushi! I had salmon again this time, and sure enough, it was still the most delicious one for my taste. 😂

Wasabi is served separately

But while eating the sushi, I had a strange thought: “Huh...? Why isn't there any sharp kick??” As it turned out, Mikado Sushi does not put wasabi in the sushi! Since lots of families probably visit, it seems they serve it without wasabi by default. Wasabi is provided at every table instead. We only realized partway through, and from then on we piled on lots of wasabi haha.

There was everything from abalone to generous eel

There were so many unusual types of sushi too.

Special varieties of conveyor-belt sushi

There was sushi with salmon, tamago (sweet egg omelet), onion, and flying-fish roe, as well as sushi with aged kimchi and raw fish. There was sushi topped with a whole abalone and sushi with a large piece of eel too! The shrimp was really big and looked so appetizing. All these options for ₩2,100 a plate...!! Even on my second visit, I was still satisfied after trying them again. There must be a reason so many people seek it out as a sushi spot in Seosan.

We finished with buckwheat soba

I always like to finish a sushi meal with memil soba (buckwheat soba), so my sister and I ordered it side by side this time too. It was such a nice cool, clean finish.

Including the buckwheat soba, we had 22 plates altogether!! haha

The 22-plate meal

We came out absolutely stuffed, and the total was ₩46,200. Eating such a variety of things between two people for that amount is pretty good, right?

Payment total of ₩46,200

Mikado Sushi Seosan Branch also accepts Seosan Love Gift Certificates and CHAK payments, so keep that in mind!

Sushi that was satisfying even on a return visit

Mikado Sushi was not somewhere I visited just once and forgot about—I came back because I had eaten so deliciously! 🍣 Even though this was my second visit, I was satisfied once again. There are lots of sushi varieties, and at ₩2,100 a plate, it is easy to try many things without feeling burdened. The salmon sushi was still my favorite! 😋 Both the taste and value were satisfying, so it is somewhere I want to visit again whenever I crave sushi in Seosan. Maybe next time will be a third visit haha.
