We arrived a bit early for our appointment and were waiting on the sofa when they brought out welcome tea 🍵 (Juno Hair really is thoughtful about the details, isn't it?)

A pleasant locker room, kids' room, waiting area, and styling stations — this was actually my first time visiting a Juno Hair branch with a kids' room, so it was interesting to see :) Getting your hair done tends to take a good while, so it seems like this would be great for going with a kid without them getting bored haha

Consultation and haircut: looking neat for a 100-day celebration

We talked with head stylist Wonbin about the lack of volume in the back of his hair, then moved on to the cut and partial perm. Once the wait was over and our appointment time came, we had a proper consultation with head stylist Wonbin! We talked through the style he wanted and what was bothering him, then went ahead with the cut and partial perm. It had only been a month since his last perm, but the back of his head had already lost so much volume that the style looked disappointing — the partial perm fixed that completely 👍

Cutting in sections! Since we had a baby's 100-day celebration coming up, we asked for it to be as clean and neat as possible, and the result was totally satisfying haha

Partial perm vs full perm: what's the difference?

Juno Hair Guwol-dong Rodeo Branch's partial perm only adds volume where it's needed, so it took less time than a full perm would. This was actually my husband's first partial perm — he'd always gotten full perms before — but since only the necessary section was treated to bring back volume, it seemed to shave off some time, and it covered all the shortcomings nicely :)

Hoping the perm turns out well, on to the heating tool and neutralizing step!

He said his sideburns don't tend to flare up much, so we skipped a down perm there, but the cutting and trimming were done so carefully that it looked really neat haha

Even after the blow-dry, so much care went into every single strand that the finished result turned out great!

Before & after — the area right below the crown had no volume and looked way too flat, but the partial perm brought the volume back successfully!

The shaggy hair was neatly tidied up, and the part that used to look droopy and flat now has natural, lively volume — the overall style ended up so much more to my liking :)

The uneven hair around the neck was also trimmed neatly(?), giving it a really tidy, polished feel!
