Lactose-free coconut peach latte and finansier: Tteum Café Suwon
In short
Tteum Café by Oneplay Suwon Station is a large dessert café in Suwon, Gyeonggi, connected to the Lady Furniture showroom. The writer ordered an ice cream croffle (₩10,900), a lactose-free coconut peach latte (₩7,100), and a salted caramel finansier, and found the coconut peach latte, easy on the stomach despite lactose intolerance, the tastiest of the three. Between the coffee award certificates behind the counter and the vintage teacups on display, it's a café worth visiting for both the desserts and the space.

Umbrella up against the sun, I trudged from Exit 3 of Suwon Station to Tteum Café by Oneplay Suwon Station. It was too cold inside Timevillas, so I went looking for a big café near Suwon Station where I could grab dessert and relax. Honestly, at first I mixed it up with the entrance to Lady Furniture.

Once inside, the furniture store and café are connected. While I was there, a customer who'd come in for a furniture consultation ended up buying coffee here, and I had fun browsing the furniture from my seat too.

I checked the menu via the QR code on the table and ordered at the counter. Coconut and peach? Of course I had to try that. I picked the ice cream croffle (₩10,900), the coconut peach latte (₩7,100), and the salted caramel finansier.
Ice cream croffle: sweet even without the syrup

I picked this one while looking for a croffle near Suwon Station, and it comes with maple syrup on the side plus a scoop on top about the size of my fist. Ice cream on croffle is a familiar combo, so I could tell just by looking it'd be sweet.

The crunchy texture reminded me of sherbet first, a vanilla flavor. Something felt familiar but I couldn't quite place it — oh, it's like an upgraded version of the ice cream you get at a gamjatang (pork bone soup) restaurant.

It's plenty sweet even without the maple syrup. The croffle itself is fairly plain, so adding the syrup makes it quite a bit sweeter. I preferred it without the syrup, just with the topping.
Coconut peach latte: the dark horse

The coconut peach latte is a lactose-free drink available only iced. From the first sip, coconut aroma lingers sweetly in the mouth. I wondered if coconut and peach would even work together, but it was much tastier than I expected. You can taste nectarine, yellow peach, and white peach, and the sweetness doesn't feel artificial. The sweet aroma of coconut and peach worked so well together that I kept sipping.

Bonus points for having a non-coffee, lactose-free option since I'm lactose intolerant. This was the tastiest of the three. It felt like a flavor suited to spring and summer, so I'll probably think of it again once the seasons change.
Salted caramel finansier and XL cakes

Salted caramel is my favorite kind of finansier, and this one's moist and soft texture went well with the latte.

I liked that the finansier was served in a dish that looked like a vintage teacup. I spent a while looking at the teacups stacked next to the counter — the variety of designs and colors made it a fun little detour.

The café also sells XL-sized cakes made in-house.

You could come here just for the cake or the finansier near Suwon Station.
Signs of a place serious about coffee

Behind the counter, framed coffee-related certificates line the wall, including one for placing in the Top 10 at the World Best Bean espresso competition. With this many coffee certificates on display, it's clear this is a place serious about its beans and coffee.

From espresso to hand drip to specialty beans — there's kopi luwak, geisha, and even Kyoto and Milan blends, which any coffee lover would find intriguing. There were also plenty of teas with names that made me curious just from reading them, like Blueberry Candy and Parade. Very Berry Watermelon made me chuckle to myself, since it instantly brought to mind Baskin Robbins' Very Berry Strawberry.
A space connected to Lady Furniture

Further inside, you can see various pieces of furniture beyond the café tables. Sipping a drink while browsing dressers and wardrobes made it feel like being in a showroom.

Sitting in the café, dressers and wardrobes naturally catch your eye, which made for its own kind of fun browsing. Being connected to Lady Furniture as one space gave this café a distinct edge.
If you're coming from Suwon Station

Coming out of the Suwon Station Transfer Center toward KCC Mall, it's on the 1st floor of the Front Officetel building. It took about 10 minutes on foot from Exit 3 of Suwon Station.

Review event and practical info

There's also an event where uploading a receipt photo review or an Instagram story gets you a signature espresso called Roma. Roma is said to be a signature drink that combines the deep body of a classic Italian espresso with the subtle sweetness of vanilla bean. After seeing all the coffee certificates in the store, I'd like to try this one next time.
After trying Tteum, a café near Suwon Station

Looking at the teacups, I found myself already wondering which beans I'd choose to try next time at Tteum Café by Oneplay Suwon Station.
