Jam Jam, a Yeonnam-dong brunch café near Hongdae/Yeonnam
I was searching online with a friend for the best pancakes in Yeonnam-dong, got hypnotized by the photos, and ended up at Jam Jam near Hongdae.

Where to park near Jam Jam: the Modu Parking lot out front
Jam Jam doesn't have its own parking, so you'll need the Modu Parking Lot or a nearby public lot. We parked right in front of the café through Modu. Super cheap too — only ₩1,800 an hour!

Jam Jam's interior and European-style terrace
The scooter and bench parked at the entrance are ridiculously cute. I've never ridden a scooter but now I really want to.
It's finally getting cool enough for terrace weather, and isn't Jam Jam's terrace just gorgeous? It's got that European alleyway bistro vibe — a total photo spot. The rattan chairs paired with those round wood tables are perfect. Bring your pup and sit right there for photos.
I was surprised how big the inside actually is. Vintage yet industrial mood, with unique little details everywhere you look.
That tiny light fixture is so so cute, ugh. Even the Heinz ketchup bottle has a vibe.
Snapped a shot further inside too! From outside I had no idea it was this spacious — it's genuinely huge in here. That explains the 'groups welcome' sign! We visited on a quiet weekday afternoon, but as time went on, group after group started rolling in — clearly a hot spot.
Jam Jam menu and prices

The regular menu! Pancakes, jambon, toast, pasta, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), soup, salad, coffee, lattes, pudding, chocolate mousse, ades — they've got literally everything!
There was too much good stuff so after a long debate we ordered the seasonal fruit pancakes for ₩15,000, hojicha latte for ₩6,500, and iced americano for ₩5,000!
They sell acai bowls too! ₩12,000.
Why is this counter so hip. White plates stacked in layers with bright yellow lemons on top — the lemons and avocados add so much life to the space. Taking notes.
Hojicha latte and iced americano at Jam Jam
The hojicha latte and iced americano came out first — my first time ever trying hojicha latte.
You're supposed to scoop up the hojicha cream on top without stirring it in first — that's when it's best. A slightly bitter yet distinctly nutty flavor spreads through rich and deep, smooth and creamy in your mouth. Not too sweet or heavy, so I really enjoyed it!
The iced americano portion is huge. Perfectly cold, it cleanly quenched my thirst. Not too acidic, nice and full-bodied — a total match made in heaven with dessert.
What do the fig banana pancakes taste like?
Eek, such a gorgeous presentation — the fig banana pancake arrived on a pretty heart-shaped plate! Piled high with figs, snow-like powdered sugar dusted on top, neatly sliced banana off to the side, plus syrup and butter.
The seasonal fruit changes every season, and apparently it's fig season right now. Jackpot!!! Fresh figs generously piled on without holding back. The figs were sweet too, nice and high in sugar.
Time for the cutting ceremony. This giant pancake is seriously thick and pudgy.
Cut off a fluffy piece of pancake, topped it with soft cream and fig, and took a bite — it genuinely melted in my mouth. And with the banana's sweetness added on top, it's an unbeatable combo. That time of the month had me craving sugar and this hit the spot perfectly, haha.

There's a restroom inside the café too. Very stylish, very chic. Really clean and it smelled great too ;)
So hip and chic, Jam Jam's got it going on. Despite the chic mood, the desserts themselves are so lovable — such a charming contrast, lol.
We ate every last bite and loved it.
Is Jam Jam worth a visit? Final verdict
Between the hip, atmospheric interior and the charming European bistro-style terrace, this place nails my taste from the space alone ✨ The clean iced americano and nutty hojicha latte both came in above average too, drink-quality-wise. But the fig banana pancake especially was flawless in both looks and taste — genuinely delicious. Next time I want to try the pasta too!!
