Suwon café with wood-tone sofas near Suwon Station: Hongrad

A cozy café found on Suwon Station’s Rodeo Street

My partner and I suddenly had some time to spend around Suwon Station, so we went looking for a cozy café and ended up here!! There are quite a lot of chain cafés around Suwon Station, so I deliberated over where to go, but I found one with seriously amazing vibes and had to share it with you 💗

It’s behind the Suwon Tax Office—just keep walking straight from Suwon Rodeo Street‼️ Turns out Hongrad has lots of branches in Suwon🤪 They all looked lovely, but the Suwon Station Branch was absolutely the best too,,,❤️

This is the entrance to the Hongrad building; just head up the stairs to the second floor〰️〰️

Right from the entrance, there was the cute logo and the opening-hours notice, plus lots of mirrors around for taking photos🤭🤍

An interior where sunlight meets warm wood tones

But seriously, the interior we saw when we walked in,,,,🤍 We went on a weekday afternoon so it was quiet, but the atmosphere was absolutely incredibleㅠㅠㅠ

Sunlight streamed in through the outside windows, while the interior still felt cozy, decorated in warm wood tones—so, so atmosphericㅜㅜㅜㅜ It had the best vibe of any Suwon Station café I’ve been to👍🏻❤️ My partner and I could not stop complimenting it haha

I also checked out the seating, and there were quite a few sofa seats—and the sofas were genuinely comfortable haha🤪 The wood tones and black leather sofas looked so good together❤️

They were also selling goods and all sorts of cute little items, and it looked like the owner had put so much effort into preparing them +__+ Completely recommend it if you love this kind of thing❣️

Decaf Americano and passion fruit ade

There was a wide variety on the café menu, from coffee and delicious drinks to desserts, so I loved having plenty of choices💗 We ordered a decaf Americano (₩5,500) and a passion fruit ade (₩6,500), haha. There were lots of desserts too: when I visited, they had Basque cheesecake, croffles, and lots of other cute desserts, so dessert lovers, take note‼️

Before long, the pager buzzed, and my partner brought over the coffee and ade hehe. Thank you🫶 You know that slightly stylish concrete vibe, right? Hahaha

First up, my partner’s decaf Americano‼️ They said it was rich and delicious haha. They usually have a regular Americano every day, but went decaf this time in case they couldn’t sleepㅋㅋㅋㅋ🤭

I was craving something refreshing, so I got the passion fruit ade❣️ You could tell just by looking at it that it was packed with fizz and had lots of fruit syrup at the bottom~~

You have to give something like this a really thorough stir, right?!!? Once I mixed in the passion fruit syrup at the bottom, it turned into this bright yellow drink haha✨ The passion fruit was tangy and sweet, cool and delicious, with those little seeds that pop when you bite them👍🏻

Honestly, I don’t often go to cafés just because they have a nice atmosphere, but this place was truly one of the most atmospheric Suwon Station cafés, with such great vibes, that my partner and I promised to come back >____< It’s perfect as a Suwon Station date café too❤️

I visited without really knowing what to expect, but the atmosphere was so good and all the drinks were nice, so we said we’d come again‼️ I never expected there to be such a lovely-feeling café near Suwon Station,,,🤍
