Daegu wedding hall buffet: sea squirt bibimbap at Stadium Convention

Stadium Convention Wedding is a wedding hall on Universiade-ro in Suseong-gu, Daegu, located near Daegu Stadium with plenty of parking, running both an indoor convention hall and outdoor weddings. I made a tasting reservation and went through the banquet buffet corner by corner. It's autumn now and the weather's turned cool — prime wedding season! I was more surprised than I expected at just how many people are getting married haha.

Stadium Convention Wedding is great because you can choose between the outdoor hall and the indoor hall, parking is easy, and above all it's known for good food! Let me show you around, come take a look!

Outdoor wedding hall and indoor hall: how it feels as a guest

When couples look for a wedding venue, they care a lot about certain things, but for guests actually attending, what they talk about most is probably the food, the parking, and the atmosphere of the venue. Especially if you're planning a wedding in Daegu, you end up checking things carefully — is the location convenient for guests to reach, is the dining space decent, does the ceremony run too chaotically?

Stadium Convention Wedding sits near Daegu Stadium with plenty of open space around it, and it's advertised as a single-event venue that runs both an indoor convention hall and outdoor weddings.

The outdoor hall is used for one event at a time. Compared to large wedding halls where multiple ceremonies run simultaneously, guests can feel the atmosphere is relatively relaxed, and the couple can focus fully on their own wedding! The weather was so nice I found myself thinking I'd want to get married here again haha.

The bride's waiting room even had air conditioning installed. There's also a spacious outdoor area nearby, which makes it a good fit for an outdoor or garden-style wedding when the weather's nice.

Next is the indoor hall! It felt wider and brighter than the outdoor hall, which I liked — it wasn't a dim space at all haha. Visit both in person and compare for yourself!

The buffet banquet hall at Stadium Convention Wedding was way bigger than I expected haha. Cool and comfortable!

Because I'd made a reservation in advance, they set me up with a basic sashimi platter to start. Looks so, so fresh, right haha.

Let me walk you through the inside of Stadium Convention Wedding and the food, one by one!

Seafood corner at the buffet

Seafood first — the seafood corner is right there as you walk in haha. It looked so fresh and delicious that I loaded up my plate right away!! I'm a total seafood killer, you know.

Sushi, gimbap (seaweed rice rolls) and inari sushi

Next up is sushi and gimbap (seaweed rice roll). There's a wide variety of sushi, and the gimbap and inari sushi (fried tofu pockets stuffed with rice) really look delicious haha. They were already so popular that people kept scooping up big portions!

Sea squirt bibimbap, smoked duck and pizza

And here's the special menu item — sea squirt bibimbap (bibimbap topped with sea squirt)! Plus smoked duck and grilled-steamed dishes — there's chives (jeongguji), mustard sauce, and pickled radish on the side, so make sure to have them together. The pizza, though — not recommended.

Jokbal (braised pig's trotters) and salads

There's also jokbal (braised pig's trotters), tomato caprese, and a Cajun chicken salad. So many kinds of food, right? Ugh, I'm getting hungry just writing this.

Off to one side of the Stadium Convention Wedding buffet there's a dessert section with fruit, tteok (rice cakes), and bread too! They've got dessert covered.

Maybe because I'd made a tasting reservation, they also gave me premium galbi (beef short ribs) haha. This one seemed like a main dish, but I didn't see it out on the regular floor.

Now for the steak, meat dishes, and pasta section. The chefs were working hard cooking right in front of us!

There's a separate corner for naengmyeon (cold noodles) and noodles too!

Over at the Korean food corner, you can make your own bibimbap or just have plain rice, which I liked.

So much to drink! Sodas, juices, sikhye (sweet rice punch), sujeonggwa (cinnamon persimmon punch), all kinds of options.

I really got my money's worth at Stadium Convention Wedding, all the way through to dessert. The banquet hall is so spacious that it looked easy for the couple to walk around greeting guests too! A really good experience overall!
