Late-night skewers at Moknal, a Suyeong bar in Busan
In short
Moknal is an ocean-view bar in Suyeong, Busan, with full-window views of Gwangan Bridge. I had pork kimchi stir-fry with somyeon, yakitori skewers, and Daeseon; Moknal is a great late-night stop for second or third rounds.

I went to a bar in Gwangalli, Busan! This place is seriously all about that ocean view 🌊👏 It is even open until 5 a.m., so I recommend it to anyone looking for a second- or third-round bar in Gwangalli! “Moknal”

Full-window ocean views of Gwangan Bridge
The interior ✨ The full-window ocean view was insane the moment I walked in.. 🥹 You can see all of Gwangan Bridge at once! It would be perfect for taking in the night view during festivals, fireworks, drone shows, and more. If you are looking for a Gwangalli bar with an amazing view, this is it 👏

Bar snacks from soups to yakitori
The menu had loads of soup dishes, including assorted fish cake soup, pollock roe soup, and clam soup, plus main dishes such as grilled squid, grilled black cod, and spicy whelk salad. There were also easy yakitori skewers and set menus, so the bar snacks were really varied! With both light bites and substantial dishes, it looked like a good spot for a first, second, or third round anytime :)
There was no shortage of drinks either: sake, soju, highballs, draft beer, bottled beer, and more 😮 They also had lots of soju varieties, including Ilpum Jinro, Hwayo, and bokbunja raspberry wine.
- Pork kimchi stir-fry with somyeon ₩26,000
- Grilled chicken hearts (2 skewers) ₩3,600
- Grilled sausage ₩4,300
- Bacon tomato ₩4,600
- Daeseon ₩5,000

The complimentary snacks were macaroni crackers and green peas 🫛 It was fun shelling the peas one by one, and they were tasty too, haha. They were mild and nutty, so I kept reaching for them :)

Wow, this view and these gorgeous bar snacks 🥹 Wouldn't you get tipsy just looking at the view? ㅠㅠ It is no secret that I actually got completely drunk here.. haha. The ocean view was great, the food was great~ the drinks went down so easily that I could not help it 🤷♀️

How was the pork kimchi somyeon combination?
Pork kimchi stir-fry with somyeon (thin wheat noodles) ✨ It was exactly what the name promised..! There were three bundles of noodles, and quite a generous amount of meat too. Even the bowl was uniquely triangular! One bundle of somyeon was plated at each corner of the triangle, lol.
Gently loosening up the somyeon~ To be honest, I was wondering, pork kimchi stir-fry with somyeon..? But the combination was unexpectedly good, haha. I had been planning to order rice separately, but I did not need to. If I had arrived hungry, I might have ordered it though.. 🤔 It seemed like it would be delicious with rice too, hehe.

The kimchi itself seemed like delicious, properly aged kimchi. It was a little tangy, but that made it feel like an even better match with the meat and somyeon?? If you like well-fermented kimchi, you will definitely love this flavor!

Extra yakitori skewers
Grilled chicken hearts (2 skewers) / grilled sausage / bacon tomato ✨ I am a well-known yakitori-skewer lover, you know~ I could not resist skewers and soju at this ocean-view spot, so I added them right away, haha. Please note that skewers must be ordered in quantities of at least six on their own, or at least three when ordered with a main dish :)

My beloved bacon tomato was, needless to say, delicious. The grilled sausage came more thoroughly cooked than I expected, so some people might find it a little dry..! Still, I enjoyed it~

The grilled chicken hearts had that pojangmacha (Korean street-tent bar) style! Overall, the skewers seemed to be cooked quite thoroughly, haha. That made it feel even more like eating at a pojangmacha. Dip them in the seasoned sauce, yum~ 😋

Straight away, cheers with Daeseon! Daeseon is a must when you come to Busan~ The Gwangan Bridge ocean view was so pretty, and the drinks just kept going down that day!! 🌊🤍 I did not want to get drunk, but how could I resist this view and these gorgeous snacks~
