Suyeong pizza restaurant with potato and salad half-and-half: Extra Mile

I visited Extra Mile, where you can enjoy pizza and pasta together in Gwangalli. It was such a nice spot for a date, too.

Where is Extra Mile, and what about parking?

Extra Mile is on the first floor at 11 Suyeong-ro 554beonga-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan. It is within walking distance of Exit 5 of Gwangan Station, so it was convenient to get there by public transport. It is also not far from Gwangalli Beach, which makes a seaside walk after the meal lovely. I felt it was an easy location for travelers to find as well.

There is no dedicated parking in front of the restaurant, so it is best to use a nearby paid parking lot.

A cozy atmosphere that feels like a converted house

The space had the cozy feel of a converted house, so I felt comfortable as soon as I stepped in. The wood-toned interior and soft lighting came together to create a warm atmosphere.

With its open kitchen, I could watch the cooking up close. There was a range of seating, from tables for two to counter seats, so it looked comfortable for solo diners and families alike. The tables were also spaced generously, making it a nice place to relax over a conversation and a meal. It photographs beautifully, and I would recommend it as a Gwangalli date spot.

The varied menu selection was impressive.

The set includes one pizza and one pasta, and I liked that you can choose a half-and-half pizza at no extra charge. We chose potato and salad for the pizza, and ordered the bisque cream pasta.

We paired it with a regular Sprite.

How was the potato and salad half-and-half pizza?

First, the potato pizza used Dubaek potatoes from Gangwon Province. Its clean, mild flavor stood out, with a subtle aroma of truffle oil.

The bacon added a savory, salty note, making this a well-balanced pizza.

The potatoes retained their characteristically soft texture, and it was satisfyingly filling, too.

The salad pizza felt fresh, with European greens and Caesar dressing coming together nicely.

It was topped with cranberries, olives, and nuts as well, so there was lots of variety in every bite.

The mild potato side and tangy salad side worked so well together, and I could enjoy two flavors at once. It made for a hearty meal without having to agonize over the menu.

Shrimp-packed bisque cream pasta

The bisque cream pasta was loaded with shrimp, giving it a rich flavor.

With Reggiano cheese, gamtae (Korean sweet seaweed), and parsley added, this pasta had both an ocean-like aroma and nutty richness.

The thick cream sauce clung beautifully to the noodles, so I enjoyed it right down to the last bite.

It is a menu item I would recommend to anyone looking for great pasta in Gwangalli.

At Extra Mile, we had a hearty meal of potato-and-salad pizza and bisque cream pasta.

You could feel the care that went into each dish, and I was happy with the restaurant's atmosphere, too.
