Jeonpo curry restaurant with cherry tomato topping: Sarugak20
In short
Sarugak20 is a basement curry restaurant in Jeonpo-dong, Busan, a 4-minute walk from Exit 8 of Jeonpo Station. The order was brisket (chadol) cream curry and a half-and-half curry pairing cream curry with the special curry, plus karaage and grapefruit juice, and the curry came topped with cherry tomatoes and garlic flakes, with rice and curry refills available. Sarugak20 is a good pick for tasting the mild cream curry and the sweet, tangy, spicy special curry in one sitting.

Today's another warm condensed milk latte~
There's a spot in Jeonpo-dong, Busan where you can get some really appealing curry, so I went to check it out.

The restaurant's name is "Sarugak20." The cream curry was smooth with a bit of a kick, which I found really appealing. The cheotdol (beef brisket) on top of the cream curry paired well with it too, and the special curry had a slightly sweet-and-tangy flavor that was delicious — let me introduce this Jeonpo curry spot in Busan :)
Location: 78 Seojeon-ro 68beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan It was about a 4-minute walk from Exit 8 in Jeonpo-dong.
Finding Sarugak20: the storefront and the walk from Jeonpo Station

Sarugak20 is located down in the basement of a building. The entrance is on the first floor, so I could find the restaurant right away.

The place had a great atmosphere right from the entrance, and the curry menu was posted there too, so I could take a quick look before heading in.
Inside Sarugak20: solo dining seats and the basement space
The interior of Sarugak20 was really pleasant and had a warm atmosphere.

The space wasn't huge, but there were plenty of tables set up, and the gaps between them were wide enough to eat comfortably.

Besides the 4-person and 6-person tables, there were solo dining seats too, so people eating alone could dine without any pressure.

And the interior was nicely decorated with various little props, which made for a great atmosphere.
Sarugak20's menu and what we ordered

Sarugak20's menu had a good variety — cream curry, shrimp cream curry, beef brisket cream curry, special curry, and more. We ordered the beef brisket cream curry + half-and-half curry + karaage + grapefruit juice.

The grapefruit juice came out first after ordering. It was sweet and tangy and paired really well with the curry too.

Half-and-half curry topped with cherry tomatoes and garlic flakes
And then the half-and-half curry arrived! The half-and-half curry consisted of cream curry and special curry, and it didn't take long for the food to come out.

The curry looked great from the start — there were cherry tomatoes on top of the curry, and garlic flakes too.

What does the special curry taste like?
First up, the special curry! The special curry had cheese on top of it too, and it was sweet-and-tangy with a bit of spice.

Mixing the rice right in with the curry, that slight spicy kick was totally on point. If you're short on rice or curry, refills are available, so you can walk out having had a proper, filling meal.

What does the cream curry taste like?
And then the cream curry! The cream curry was much smoother than the special curry, and that smooth cream curry with a hint of spice added in was really appealing.

Compared to the special curry, the cream curry was a bit heavier and smoother, and mixed with rice, it had a flavor you just want to keep eating.

Brisket cream curry: loaded with chadol beef
Next up, the beef brisket cream curry! The beef brisket cream curry had cheotdol (beef brisket) piled on top, and the beef brisket was so tender that it went great with the curry.

The cream curry in the beef brisket cream curry had a heaviness a little different from the regular cream curry,

and the beef brisket was delicious even eaten on its own~

The curry was smooth and spicy, which I loved,

and eating the curry together with the beef brisket was totally my style.
The kkakdugi (radish kimchi) went well with the curry too, perfect right down to the last bite.

Karaage on the side
The karaage we ordered as a side was crispy outside and juicy inside, so appealing that I'd recommend ordering it alongside your curry.

The karaage was tasty even on its own, and it also worked well with the sauce that came with it, so I could eat it happily right down to the last bite.
Is Sarugak20 worth a visit? Final thoughts
I left Sarugak20, this Jeonpo curry restaurant in Busan, so happy after such a delicious curry meal~ The smooth cream curry, the spicy special curry, and the beef brisket cream curry were all perfect, so I could eat happily right to the very end. The variety of curries with free refills and the karaage were all delicious, and the warm atmosphere of the restaurant made for another happy meal today :)
