Today I visited a Busan Jeonpo meat spot famous for delicious pork belly and pork neck — Sanseong Sikyukjeom~
Golden-brown, delicious meat, soft castella egg steam, and grilled aged kimchi — the best combo with pork belly!! Let's start the review of this special combination I enjoyed~
Where is Sanseong Sikyukjeom in Jeonpo, and what are the hours?
Sanseong Sikyukjeom Jeonpo Direct Store is at 19, 1st floor, Jeonpodae-ro 210beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan. It's 251m from Exit 8 of Jeonpo Station.
Hours are 16:30–22:30, with last order at 21:30. There's no separate parking lot, but they say they'll guide you if you ask the store.
What does the inside of Sanseong Sikyukjeom look like?
A warm hanok-style interior
The interior of Sanseong Sikyukjeom combined the warm feel of a hanok (traditional Korean house) with the cool but sleek image of a butcher's shop. The space felt really clean, cozy, and comfortable without feeling cramped.
There are also private rooms available for groups of 2–4, and 6 up to 8 people.

The name Sanseong Sikyukjeom combines "Sanseong" from Dongnae Fortress and "sikyukjeom" (butcher shop) — a fusion of Busan's distinctive food culture with a butcher shop, specializing in [nuruk-aged pork BBQ]. That's probably why the interior felt like it had these layered, unique, and stylish elements.
Sanseong Sikyukjeom menu and the 54,000 won set for two
Premium pork meets Sanseong nuruk aging

The 2-person recommended set is ₩54,000 for nuruk pork neck 200g + pork belly 200g + a specialty cut 100g, and the 3-person recommended set is ₩74,000 for nuruk pork neck 300g + pork belly 300g + specialty cut 100g. Besides pork, there's also Korean beef — grade 9 (1++) sirloin, 100g for ₩25,000.

We ordered the 2-person set menu~ I don't usually eat pork neck, but since nuruk pork neck is their signature dish here, I decided to try it as part of the set~

Six sauces and the side dishes that come with the set
Nuruk gochujang pickle + wasabi + hairtail-innards salted seafood, nuruk ssamjang + herring roe salted seafood + shiitake wasabi. A variety of distinctive sauces — six kinds — came out along with various pickles and side dishes as basics. Among the pickles, the wood ear mushroom pickle had a nice chewy texture and was delicious.
How the staff grilling service works at your table
It's great that Sanseong Sikyukjeom has a grilling service. They brought out well-heated charcoal, grilled the meat over it, and then transferred the cooked meat to the small brazier in front of us.

Two kinds of salt were set up on each individual plate. Dipping the meat in these was absolutely amazing!!

True to being a nuruk-aged pork BBQ specialty restaurant, the nuruk-aged meat came out. I was especially curious about the taste of the nuruk pork neck~ The meat was really thick.

Sanseong Sikyukjeom also grills fresh garlic scapes alongside the meat, and they were sweet, nutty, and so delicious~ The staff sliced the thick aged meat neatly and grilled it perfectly over the charcoal.

The charcoal heat was so strong that the meat came out glossy and beautifully cooked. The staff member then moved the grilled meat over to the warm brazier~

How the nuruk-aged pork neck tastes, and what to eat it with
For the first bite of meat, salt is the way to go, right? I dipped it in the nuruk salt. The juiciness was just right, and it was really nutty and delicious!!

The staff said grilled aged kimchi tastes great, so they grilled some for us too~ The garlic scapes grilled alongside it were also amazing.

The meat was so good that anything I paired with it tasted great~ Eating it with the herring roe salted seafood and shiitake wasabi was really delicious.

Castella-style steamed egg, stone pot rice and kimchi jjigae
The highlight of Sanseong Sikyukjeom~ the fluffy, soft castella egg steam. I've seen plenty of the big, puffy egg steam dishes that come with meat restaurants, but this was my first time seeing such a cute egg roll like this. It pairs great with the meat too. The downside... is that you get way too full haha. We really ate a full, satisfying meal haha.

The stone pot rice and kimchi jjigae were also really generous and delicious. There was a lot of meat inside the kimchi jjigae too~ Between that and the grilling service, we really felt well taken care of.
Final verdict on Sanseong Sikyukjeom Jeonpo Direct Store
If you're looking for a Busan pork belly restaurant, a Jeonpo Station pork belly restaurant — Sanseong Sikyukjeom!! Good atmosphere, great grilling service, and above all, delicious meat and unique menu items make it a place I'd recommend for a group dinner near Jeonpo Station~
