Today I visited Smith's Farm, a famous Western-style restaurant in Haeundae. It has over 10,000 Naver reviews with a 4.9 rating, so I figured it'd be decent — but it was way better than I expected 🤍
Location and parking at Smith's Farm
Do you know Haeundae Baebijang Bossam? It's the neighborhood one block up from there~ (you can use the parking lot at the apartment complex retail area right next door). The entrance alone had such a vibe — it's been a while since I found a spot with this much atmosphere 🥹🥹🥹

Low lighting for a date vibe, easygoing on weekdays
The interior was so tastefully and prettily decorated, it put me in a great mood 😄 Is this kind of sense and taste just something people are born with?
Overall the lighting is slightly dimmed with a standing lamp glowing at each table, giving it a great feel for dates 😊
Lucky I came on a weekday, since it was nice and relaxed — apparently weekends require reservations and waiting for sure 😅
One cute thing about Smith's Farm — they have these detailed little props everywhere. Even the check comes in a little basket, so cute.
Ordering the signature menu, starting with romaine salad
This Haeundae Western-food spot Smith's Farm apparently has 🐙 rock octopus steak and 🧆 gnocchi as its signature dishes~ so of course we ordered the signature menu lol
🥗 The romaine salad came out first. Wow, I really didn't expect much from a salad — why is this so good?????? (Price: ₩11,000)

The romaine was fresh, of course, but the accompanying sauce and the cheese and toppings on top were so harmonious 🥹 Tangy, nutty, salty — what even is this. I could just keep eating this alone.

Pumpkin gnocchi, with crispy enoki mushroom as the highlight
While we were marveling and finishing every last bite, 🧆 the pumpkin gnocchi showed up (Price: ₩23,800). Ah, even the visuals here are just perfect 👍👍

The enoki mushroom on the side is so crispy and delicious, and the pumpkin sauce has a gentle sweetness that pairs so well with the chewy gnocchi 🥹🥹 This place really knows what it's doing.

How did they make this enoki mushroom so crunchy? It looks kind of like straw, but even my dining companion, who doesn't usually eat mushrooms, was raving about it.
The gnocchi is like potato sujebi (hand-torn dough soup) — no words,,,!
The rock octopus steak is a must-order
And then 🐙 the rock octopus steak arrived! (Price: ₩29,800) I thought the visuals were insane — ✅️ conclusion: this is a must-order.

Besides the octopus, there are various vegetables — broccoli, tomato, corn, mushrooms and more — and every single one of them was delicious too 🥹

There are three sauces to dip it in, but honestly it tastes amazing even without sauce, just dipped in the pumpkin purée underneath the octopus steak 😙👍

The octopus was so tender it sliced right through with a single cut of the knife 🔪
I'd never had octopus served as a steak before — I had no idea it could be this soft and delicious 🥹 Writing this post is making me want to run straight back to Smith's Farm.

The grilled vegetables were also so good that I bought some to try grilling at home myself — total failure lol

Drinks and a carrot dessert — the owner's got great taste
Oh my, they even gave us a 🍹 complimentary drink! The owners(?) were so kind ㅠㅠ So sweet ✨️
How do people take such dreamy photos??? Is this composition even right 😁😁

As we were eating, they also gave us a banana dessert with an adorable carrot-shaped fork 🥹🥹🥹

The three carrots on top are the highlight 🧡 The owner asked if we'd seen the movie Odyssey, and told us the carrots were like the sailors aboard Odysseus's ship — and since we'd literally just come from watching Odyssey, we joked that we'd rowed a boat all the way from the theater to get to Smith's Farm 😅 I just keep getting chattier...

A bit later they asked if we'd seen Frozen and slid over another dessert ⛄️ — an Olaf with a carrot nose lol. Yes, yes, exactly — this owner has a next-level sense of humor 👍
Haeundae Western food you can't go wrong with, whoever you bring
Honestly, the food and the atmosphere here just have it all 👍 Great for group gatherings, great for dates — this is just one of those Haeundae Western-food spots you can't go wrong with, no matter who you bring.

When we paid, they even gave us a cute 🥕 carrot pen. Truly the concept, the taste, and the service are all perfect at this Haeundae Western-food spot Smith's Farm — even paying my own money, I still felt grateful 😊
