Daegu café, ice cream and river views: Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort
In short
Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is a large café in Dong-gu, Daegu, with Kumho River views through floor-to-ceiling windows, a rooftop, and spacious free parking. I had an ice cream café latte and blueberry ice cream; both were smooth and not overly bitter, though the ice cream melted a little while I took photos.

How are the location and parking at Dongchon Resort?
I visited Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch, where I could see the Kumho River. It sits on higher ground in Dongchon Resort, and the large building with floor-to-ceiling windows was easy to spot.

The address is 5-6 Hyodong-ro 6-gil, Dong-gu, Daegu. The original post lists the hours as 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. Parking on site was free with no time limit, and both the parking area and individual spaces were roomy, which was convenient.

There is another restaurant on the first floor of the building. After going in, I took the stairs or elevator beside it up to the second floor.

Are there brunch options besides coffee and dessert?
I could order at a kiosk, and the menu separated out the hand-drip coffee selection.

There was also a brunch menu. I visited after lunch, so I did not have brunch this time. I thought I would like to try it with the view next time.

Along with made-to-order drinks, there were bottled drinks, coffee, cakes, and waffles.

I could choose a vegan oat drink instead of milk and select from two types of coffee beans. I ordered an ice cream café latte and blueberry ice cream.

Where can you see the Kumho River view?
There was an elevator inside each floor, so it was easy to move upstairs while carrying my drinks.

Thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, I could see the Kumho River from most seats. There were many kinds of tables, and the interior was spacious. I especially liked being able to take in the Kumho riverside walking path across the river at a glance.

The top floor also had a rooftop and outdoor tables. Since it was a space where I could enjoy the view in the breeze, I thought it would be nice to have coffee outside when the weather gets cooler.

How were the ice cream café latte and blueberry ice cream?
The two items I ordered are said to use Sangha Farm ice cream. The ice cream had a rich flavor and a smooth texture.

The air conditioning was on strongly, but the ice cream melted a little while I was taking photos, which was disappointing. Still, I liked its smooth texture.

The ice cream café latte felt generously sized. Sweet ice cream was added to a nutty latte, and to my taste the coffee was neither very bitter nor strong, so it went well with the ice cream.
The blueberry ice cream was surrounded by blueberry pieces, with plenty of syrup underneath. I liked the little pops from the berries, and the syrup did not taste overly sweet, so it felt refreshing.

Would it be good for visiting with a group?
The indoor space and seating were roomy and the menu was varied, so I felt it would be fine for a group visit. With convenient parking, it also looked suitable for stopping by as a group or after a company dinner. The staff were kind, and I had a pleasant stay.
