Holiday brunch at 10am in a Suwon bagel café: 3 bagels, Orange Bagel

Sleeping in and having a leisurely brunch is basically the law during a holiday, right? Haha. This holiday too, my family and I were trying to figure out what to eat for our combined breakfast-lunch, and this time we decided to go with bagels instead of rice. So off we went to Orange Bagel in Suwon! 🥯

What Orange Bagel in Suwon is like at 10am on a holiday

Walking in, there were so many kinds of bagels that they all looked delicious, and it was genuinely hard to choose among them.

Orange Bagel makes its bagels in-house, and when I visited at 10am, the kitchen was busy making them.

After grabbing a table, I went to pick out our bagels — the café tables had a nice atmosphere too. 🥯🛋️✨

The first thing that caught my eye at Orange Bagel was the incredible variety of bagels. Every single one looked pretty and appetizing, and honestly I wanted to try one of each. 😍

While picking out bagels, I naturally ended up looking around the store, and it felt less like a bakery and more like a vibey café. With pretty bagels and a pretty space together, there was plenty of fun to be had taking photos at Orange Bagel! Taste matters, but this is a place where you eat with your eyes first. 🥯📸

We visited at 10am, and unfortunately the mushroom cream soup was sold out ㅜㅜ

Laugen bagel: nutty, salty salted butter

The Laugen bagel won me over on looks alone! The outside is plain but chewy, and inside there's salted butter, so with each bite you get a subtle wave of nutty, salty butter flavor. It's not overpowering — it just rounds out the plainness of the bagel nicely. A sip of hot Americano followed by a bite of Laugen bagel made for a very satisfying brunch.

Scallion cream bacon bagel: why the bacon add-on is a must

Personally, one of the menu items I was most looking forward to! The scallion cream bacon bagel has a fragrant, soft scallion cream inside. The cream cheese is thick yet soft, and the scallions add just enough bite to cut through the richness, so I kept reaching for more.

And adding bacon to the scallion cream bagel is a must.

Garlic bagel: real garlic aroma in every bite

And if you love garlic, I recommend this one! The garlic bagel isn't garlic in name only — the garlic flavor really comes through. From the first bite, a gentle garlic aroma spread out, pairing well with the bagel's signature chewy-soft texture. If you're a fan of garlic bread, this will probably suit your taste.

The goods corner and our verdict on a holiday family brunch

On one side of the café there's also an Orange Bagel goods corner, decorated tastefully with all kinds of items.

Visiting with family for a holiday brunch, I was surprised by how different each bagel tasted, which made picking and choosing fun. Among what I tried, the Laugen bagel had the nutty saltiness of salted butter, the scallion cream bagel had that cream cheese and scallion combo, and the garlic bagel had a strong garlic aroma — each had a clear identity, and I liked that.

Above all, the bagels weren't too hard — they were chewy yet soft, so they were easy to eat without feeling heavy. If you want a relaxed brunch with family over a holiday, Orange Bagel is worth a visit when you're looking for a good bagel spot in Suwon.
