With the weather so nice lately, a lot of people have been heading out to Dangjin, right? I recently went on a Dangjin day trip myself and discovered a super hot coffee spot near Ami Museum.

It's MIMI Coffee Mill, located in Sunseong-myeon, Dangjin! The name itself uses the Chinese characters for "rice" (米) and "taste" (味), which already got me expecting nutty, special desserts and drinks. It's run directly by the director of the Dangjin Barista Coffee Academy, who also founded Myeoncheon Changgo Café, so the coffee quality and expertise here are already guaranteed — a real local favorite.

MIMI Coffee Mill's location and route with Ami Museum
MIMI Coffee Mill sits at 1064 Nambu-ro, Sunseong-myeon, Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do. It's built on the spacious former site of Taeil Industrial, so it's easy to find, and it's close to Dangjin's signature travel spots like Ami Museum, Myeoncheon Eupseong (fortress town), Solmoe Sungji, and Agroland, which makes it perfect for planning a route. Last order is at 19:00 every day, so keep that in mind when you visit.

The menu — from Dangjin soybean sundubu ice cream to ssanghwacha
Walking in, the shop was filled with the nutty aroma of freshly roasted beans, clearly the work of a skilled barista. Looking at the menu, MIMI Coffee Mill's signature lineup was really diverse — from Dangjin soybean sundubu (soft tofu) ice cream made with soybeans grown in Dangjin's red clay soil, to Dangjin Hopung sweet potato latte, old-fashioned misutgaru (roasted grain powder) in a brass bowl, 100% fresh-squeezed lemon tea and iced tea, house-made milk tea, ssanghwacha (herbal tea), and honey ginger tea — a lineup that could satisfy everyone from grandparents to kids.

The dessert lineup was also varied — classic butter bar, lemon butter bar, palmier, apple pie, and more.

What we ordered and the prices
We ordered the MIMI cream latte (₩6,000) — undoubtedly the top pick among MIMI Coffee Mill's "big three" cream lattes — along with a refreshing iced Americano, and for cake, the spoon-eaten chestnut tiramisu (₩6,000) and burnt cheesecake (₩6,900).

A little while later, the drinks and desserts arrived beautifully arranged on a tray, and the visuals alone made it feel like great value both for the money and for the mood.
What does the MIMI cream latte taste like?
First up was the signature MIMI cream latte, which has sold over 80,000 cups and has the taste to prove it.

It's served neatly in a wooden bowl, and the visual alone was right up my alley. With black sesame powder sprinkled over the nutty misutgaru whipped cream, the first sip was incredibly smooth with an explosion of nuttiness. The bitterness of the freshly roasted, delicious coffee beans combined with the sweet and nutty misutgaru cream really deserved to be called a life-changing coffee.

The iced Americano we ordered alongside it also had a great balance of acidity and nuttiness, pairing perfectly with the sweet desserts.

Chestnut tiramisu and burnt cheesecake
For dessert, the spoon-eaten chestnut tiramisu had luxurious soft cream with a subtle chestnut flavor spreading through, and the golden-baked burnt cheesecake had a rich, nutty cheese flavor with dense texture — I found myself marveling with every bite.

If you want to try a special, nutty signature drink on your Dangjin trip, I highly recommend MIMI Coffee Mill in Sunseong-myeon. Stop by before or after visiting Ami Museum or Myeoncheon Eupseong and treat yourself to some cool, delicious drinks and desserts!
