I was looking for a café while planning a trip to Dangjin and ended up at MIMI Coffee Mill. It kept coming up whenever I searched for Dangjin cafés, and I was curious — plus it's close to Ami Museum of Art, so it seemed like a nice stop after looking around there. It's not just a pretty café either; they roast their own beans and offer a range of signature menu items, which made me even more excited. ☺️✨
I went looking for good coffee in Dangjin and landed on MIMI Coffee Mill ☕️. Since they use their own roasted beans, I was curious about the coffee menu first, and the signature MIMI Coffee Cream Latte was especially impressive! The nutty misutgaru (roasted grain powder) cream paired with strong coffee flavor better than I expected. I also got to try the Dangjin Bean Sundubu Ice Cream and a sweet potato menu item. Being near Ami Museum of Art, it's also a great café to add to a Dangjin travel itinerary. ✨
Where is MIMI Coffee Mill, and where do you park?

MIMI Coffee Mill is housed in a converted warehouse, so the building itself felt quite large and substantial. There's parking space right in front of the café, which made it convenient to visit by car, and if that lot fills up, there's supposedly nearby parking as well.
The surroundings are quiet and the scenery relaxed, giving off a different vibe than a café tucked inside the city. Since it's close to Ami Museum of Art, it's also a good spot for anyone looking for a Dangjin café after visiting the museum.
Inside the warehouse-style café: roomy seating for families and friends
Stepping inside, the sense of scale from the exterior carried through indoors too. MIMI Coffee Mill has a large space with plenty of tables, and the seating isn't cramped, so it was comfortable to sit and relax.
There are various window-side seats and the space is naturally divided into sections, so it seemed fine for visiting with friends or as a family. There are little props and interior touches scattered around too, adding a cozy feel to the otherwise spacious warehouse vibe.
The dessert and bakery counter at MIMI Coffee Mill

MIMI Coffee Mill isn't just a drinks café — they have a surprisingly wide bakery selection too. There are plenty of breads that go well with coffee, so if just a drink feels like it's not enough, ordering a dessert alongside is a good idea.

The menu is so varied that if you're visiting with a few people, it might be worth ordering different drinks and desserts and sharing them around.
MIMI Coffee Mill menu: signature drinks and decaf options

Beyond the basic coffee menu, MIMI Coffee Mill has a variety of signature drinks you can only get here.

They use beans they roast in-house, blending beans from different coffee-growing regions, which gave a real sense of expertise about the coffee itself.

To try a range of items, we ordered the decaf MIMI Coffee Cream Latte, Dangjin Hopung Sweet Potato Latte, decaf iced Americano, Dangjin Bean Sundubu Ice Cream, Dangjin Hopung Sweet Potato Ice Cream, and a mocha bun.

You can pack up leftovers yourself to take home. They also have MIMI dolls that kids can play with, so it's a good spot to visit with children too!
How does the decaf MIMI Coffee Cream Latte taste?
The MIMI Coffee Cream Latte is MIMI Coffee Mill's signature drink, so it was the one I was most excited to try. It uses misutgaru (roasted grain powder) and cream, and the combination with coffee worked better than expected.
The cream on top gives a nutty, sweet misutgaru flavor first, followed by a strong coffee taste — a nice layered style!
They recommend drinking it straight without a straw rather than stirring it together, and I really could taste the layers that way — drinking it as-is made it more fun.
Dangjin Hopung Sweet Potato Latte
I love the sweet, cozy flavor of sweet potato, so I ordered the Dangjin Hopung Sweet Potato Latte. The smooth latte base combined with the earthy sweet potato flavor made for a comfortable, easy-drinking cup overall.
It has a nutty flavor that's different from coffee-based drinks, so it seemed like a good pick for people who can't handle coffee well.
Decaf iced Americano
Since we were ordering several signature drinks, I also picked a clean Americano. I got it decaf, and the flavor overall was clean, making it great to pair with dessert or bakery items.

Since MIMI Coffee Mill roasts its own beans, it's worth trying the basic coffee menu too.
Dangjin Bean Sundubu (soft tofu) Ice Cream

This one caught my eye just for its unusual name. It's an ice cream made with sundubu (soft tofu), so it felt much lighter and smoother than a typical ice cream.
There's a subtle, nutty bean flavor that sets it apart from an ice cream that's just plain sweet. It was good either as a dessert after a meal or paired with coffee.
Dangjin Hopung Sweet Potato Ice Cream

After the sweet potato latte, I was curious about the ice cream too, so I ordered it. The earthy, sweet sweet-potato flavor paired well with the ice cream, and the cold, smooth texture made it good as a dessert.
If you like sweet potato, it might be fun to order both the latte and the ice cream to compare.
Mocha bun
I picked the mocha bun as a bakery item to eat alongside the drinks. It has a coffee aroma, so it paired especially well with the Americano.
The sweet coffee flavor on the outside combined with the soft texture of the bread made it much more filling than just drinking a beverage alone.
In-house bean blending and roasting
One reason MIMI Coffee Mill stood out to me was how serious they are about coffee. They buy green beans by region, blend and roast them in-house, and let the roasted beans rest for a set period before use.

They apparently run daily cupping and flavor tests and adjust brewing conditions accordingly, which gave the impression they're consistently managing the coffee's actual flavor, not just putting together café menu items. So if you want to try properly made coffee in Dangjin, this is a Dangjin café worth visiting at least once.
Worth pairing with Ami Museum of Art on a Dangjin day trip?
MIMI Coffee Mill is close to Ami Museum of Art, so it was easy to pair into a Dangjin travel itinerary. The café itself is spacious with a wide menu, so it's better suited to sitting back and relaxing than just grabbing a quick coffee.
If you're looking for a Dangjin café where you can enjoy not just the atmosphere but also self-roasted coffee and signature menu items you can only find here, I'd recommend MIMI Coffee Mill.
