Daegu café with family floor seating: Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort

I visited Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch (핸즈커피 동촌유원지점) while out driving with my family. We took a break overlooking the Geumho River and had desserts at a floor-seating table with my child.

What are the location, parking, and ordering process?

The address is 5-6 Hyodong-ro 6-gil, Dong-gu, Daegu, South Korea (대구 동구 효동로6길 5-6), and there is a dedicated parking lot in front of the café. The hours listed in the original post are 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily, open year-round. Set high on a hill in Dongchon Resort, the café extends from the second through fourth floors.

I went up to the second floor to order first. You can use the kiosk or order directly from a staff member.

The space was large, and each floor had a different atmosphere, so it was enjoyable to look around while choosing a seat.

When is brunch served, and how much were the items I ordered?

I had wanted to try the brunch, but its serving time had already ended when we arrived, which was disappointing. The posted brunch serving time was 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This time, I ordered coffee and desserts.

At the time of my visit, there was also a notice for an event giving one Hands Cookie for writing a Naver receipt review.

Are there seats that work well with a child?

The antique wood interior and lighting gave the large café a warm atmosphere.

There were bar tables by the window that looked good for reading or working alone. There were also seats suited to a small group having tea together.

There were soft sofas, large tables where several people could sit together, and floor-seating tables where you take off your shoes. We used the floor seating with my child; my child sat comfortably, so I could relax and enjoy dessert too.

What can you see from the window seats?

Through the large windows on every floor, I could see the Geumho River and green trees. The weather was good on the day I visited, and simply sitting by the window and looking outside felt relaxing.

The open view and comfortable seating made it a nice place for a family to take an unhurried break. I thought it would also be nice to visit with my parents.

What did the waffle and black sesame cake taste like?

The blueberry cream cheese waffle arrived warm and had a crisp yet chewy texture. It was generously topped with blueberries, soft ice cream, and whipped cream. The sweet, tangy blueberry flavor came together well, and we finished the plate.

The black sesame cake was not intensely sweet and had a rich, nutty flavor.

It was layered so that you could enjoy black sesame in three forms. Its gentle sweetness and nuttiness lingered, and I thought my parents would like it too.

Is there an outdoor place to relax?

There is an outdoor terrace on the rooftop. On a day with a light breeze, it seemed like a nice place to sit with coffee and take a break.
