Daegu café brunch with Geumho River views: Hands Coffee
In short
Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is a café in Dong-gu, Daegu, with private parking, seating on floors 2–4, and a fourth-floor terrace overlooking the Geumho River. I ordered Double Tray Brunch Set A with two long blacks and liked pairing the rich cream pasta with the sweet-and-tangy chicken granola salad.

I went to Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch (핸즈커피 동촌유원지점) for weekend brunch. I had heard that the Hands Coffee location I sometimes visited also served brunch, so I came to try the salad and pasta with coffee.

Where is it, and is parking convenient?
The café is at 5-6 Hyodong-ro 6-gil, Dong-gu, Daegu. At the time of my visit, the posted hours were 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily, and it was open year-round. The large private parking lot made it convenient to visit by car.

Is there plenty of seating, and can you see the Geumho River?
Seating was available from the second through the fourth floor. The spacious interior looked suitable for gatherings, dates, family outings, or studying. I arrived a little early and found plenty of appealing seats, but I thought it might be difficult to find a seat after mealtime.

The fourth floor also had an outdoor terrace. Because the café sits on a hill in Dongchon Resort Park, I could see the Geumho River and the surrounding natural scenery stretching out below. I thought the terrace would be a nice place to sit once the weather became properly cool in fall.

What coffee and brunch items are available?
There was a wide range of coffee, from drip coffee to espresso drinks. This time, I ordered two long blacks with brunch.

Brunch was served from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The choices included the Hands House Brunch Plate, jambon-beurre, salads, pasta, and mushroom soup, so there were more options than I expected.

Individual orders were also available, but I chose the Double Tray Hands Brunch Set, which was introduced as being sold only at the Dongchon Resort Branch. From Set A, I selected the paccheri cream pasta and chicken granola salad.

How much was Double Tray Set A?
The price of Double Tray Set A recorded in my visit notes was ₩26,300. Changing the pasta to paccheri cream pasta cost an additional ₩1,000.

The salad and pasta arrived on a double tray. I enjoyed eating both dishes while looking out at the Geumho River.

How did the salad and cream pasta work together?
The chicken granola salad had generous portions of chicken breast, granola, and cheese over fresh vegetables. I could not identify the type of dressing, but it tasted sweet and tangy. Alternating it with the cream pasta helped cut through the richness, and the two went well together.

The thick cream sauce had soaked into the paccheri pasta. It was the dish I changed to for an additional charge, and I enjoyed it.

I had originally visited this place for coffee, but the salad and pasta were better than expected. On this visit, the private parking, Geumho River views, and combination of the two dishes stood out to me.
Can you buy coffee goods at the café?
The café also sold tumblers, drip bags, and powdered coffee. I had not noticed them when I visited only for coffee, but there was a varied selection of goods and coffee products.

They also sold Dutch concentrate and decaffeinated Dutch concentrate.
