Oat flat white and Egg in Hell brunch in Gwangalli: Famous Benny

Back in Busan, I decided to have brunch in Gwangalli this time, so I visited Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch. Gwangalli has so many cafés and good restaurants that it's always hard to pick where to go, but this time I wanted a place with pretty plating and a wide range of brunch options. Once I got there, I could totally see why it draws so many couples and women haha :)

Where is Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch, and what are the hours?

Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is located at 64 Minnak-bondong-ro 11beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan, on the 1st and 2nd floors, open 08:00–18:00 with last order at 17:00. It's within walking distance of Gwangalli Beach, and I'd recommend using a nearby paid parking lot rather than looking for a dedicated one.

Since it opens at 8am, it's a solid choice if you want to start your Busan trip a little early with brunch. It's not far from Gwangalli Beach either, so pairing brunch with a beach walk afterward makes for a nice itinerary.

The look and feel of this Gwangalli brunch café

Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch has a 1st and 2nd floor, both giving off a bright, warm vibe overall. Especially once the brunch dishes hit the table, the plating and colors are really pretty!

Taste matters, of course, but when you're at a brunch café, visuals matter too haha. So many dishes here just make you want to photograph them, which probably explains why I saw a lot of couples and women when I visited. If you're looking for a date spot in Gwangalli, brunch followed by a walk along Gwangalli Beach could be a great course.

🎃 Pumpkin soup

The first thing I ordered at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch was the pumpkin soup! Adding a warm soup to your brunch order really rounds out the meal, I think.

It was a nice, gentle way to start before diving into the main brunch, letting me enjoy that soft, distinct pumpkin flavor. If you're ordering several dishes to share with others, adding a soup on top is a good idea.

🍳 Egg in Hell

For the main, I ordered Egg in Hell! It's a tomato-based dish with eggs added in, which fits brunch perfectly.

What stood out most about Famous Benny was how pretty each dish looked the moment it arrived — I found myself reaching for my phone to take photos right away haha. With warm Egg in Hell and pumpkin soup side by side, it made for a pretty hearty brunch spread!

Famous Benny also has other brunch options like avocado toast, smoked salmon toast, French toast, salads, and acai bowls, so there's plenty to choose from depending on your taste. It's a great spot for anyone looking for a Gwangalli brunch restaurant with a lot of variety to enjoy across a group.

☕ Flat white, swapped to oat milk

For my drink, I ordered a flat white and swapped it for oat milk. Brunch just isn't complete without coffee :)

It paired well with the pumpkin soup and Egg in Hell, and switching to oat milk gave it a nutty character quite different from regular milk. If you're already a fan of oat milk, I'd definitely recommend making the swap.

A wide menu is another reason to visit Famous Benny

Another thing I liked about Famous Benny was just how many brunch options there actually are! A lot of brunch cafés only have a handful of signature dishes, but this place has toasts, salads, benedicts, French toast, acai bowls and more, so it's great for a group ordering one dish each to share.

And on top of that, every dish is so nicely plated that laying several plates out together makes the whole table look great :) It's a good match for anyone on a Busan trip looking for a photogenic brunch café.

Opening from 8am is also a big plus for travelers in Busan! You could wake up a little leisurely, enjoy brunch, and then head out for a walk along Gwangalli Beach.
