Sinnonhyeon study café with a 50%-off bagel chip 3-pack: Selecto

Hi, it's Soop :) Today I visited a café near Sinnonhyeon Station that's great for studying — it runs 24 hours a day, switching to unmanned service at night. ☕️ It's Selecto Coffee ☕️ It's a station-adjacent café less than a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 1, so it's easy to get to, and there's a wide variety of desserts to go with your coffee, so I really liked it and wanted to write it up!

Where is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon, and is there parking?

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch is on the 1st floor at 31 Gangnam-daero 79-gil, Seocho-gu, less than a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 1. That said, there's no parking right in front of the store — the nearest paid lot nearby is apparently Eongubi Public Parking Lot ㅠㅠ

Drinks and the Sallydays salad and sandwich collaboration

Americanos, lattes, bubble tea, frappes, smoothies — and even teas, ades, and juices! The drink menu alone was huge. There are also salads and sandwiches made in collaboration with Salleydays, so it's a great spot for a clean, light meal 😚

There are regular sandwiches and light versions, so you can choose depending on how hungry you are that day! Since I was extra hungry, I went with the heaviest option — the smoked salmon sandwich!

Two kiosks and the bagel chip 3-pack at 50% off

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon has two kinds of kiosks. One for ordering when staff are on duty, and another for the unmanned hours!

They were also selling bagel chip snacks like this. Buy 3 bags and get 50% off, so I got them for 3,700 won haha

Study seats, group tables and the print zone

Now let's look inside! First, small tables for two caught my eye, and there were also sofa seats for solo study-café folks. There were outlets on the walls too, perfect for a bit of laptop work or charging your phone haha

There's also a wide space like this where groups can sit together! The interior was clean and the lighting was bright, which I liked. There were actually quite a few people studying or working.

Ahh, a café with printing. I've never seen a café like this before — if you need to print something for work or an assignment, you can take care of it right on the spot at Selecto Coffee

Smoked salmon sandwich, 8,500 won, with a mocha-bean americano

The nutty mocha-bean americano I ordered! And the smoked salmon sandwich 🥪

Lately I've come to really like a light americano over something heavier ☕️🤎 I prefer nutty beans without acidity over ones with, so I went with the mocha bean!

Look at that color on the smoked salmon sandwich ⸝⸝ʚ̴̶̷̆ ̯ʚ̴̶̷̆⸝⸝ Cabbage, green leaf lettuce, smoked salmon, cherry tomatoes, and a generous amount of sauce, all packed into — get this!! — a ciabatta bread sandwich.

The colors are so pretty I kept staring at it.. It'd been a while since I'd had salmon, so this was perfect timing. The combination of soft salmon, bread, and vegetables was so good! At first I planned to eat just one half and save the rest, but after one bite I just shoved both halves into my mouth .. 😚

Is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon good for reading alone?

The combination of fresh vegetables and salmon was so good that it was gone from my stomach in under 10 minutes .. and in between, a sip of that nutty americano ☕️🤎

I knew Selecto Coffee existed as a chain, but this was my first time visiting the Sinnonhyeon branch! After finishing the sandwich, I read a book for an hour too haha. Since it's a café made for studying, nobody minded how long I stayed, so I was able to relax comfortably. Hehe — had a good rest, and I'll come back again!
