Cheonan bakery café for pistachio mountain bread Nogeumbong: Siyudang

In short

Siyudang is a large three-floor bakery brunch café at the entrance to Taehaksan Recreational Forest in Pungse, Cheonan. On a weekend outing we ordered the shrimp open sandwich (15,800 won), the octopus leg squid ink risotto (19,800 won) and Nogeumbong (5,900 won), Siyudang's signature mountain-shaped pistachio cream bread, then went up to the rooftop windmill photo zone. With brunch, a full bakery and photo spots in one building, Siyudang works well as a weekend or date course in Cheonan.

I went to Siyudang, famous as a large café in Pungse, Cheonan with a windmill photo zone - ⛺️🧡

I came out to Pungse for some fresh air on a weekend outing / date, and stopped by Siyudang since I heard it's a brunch spot worth visiting

Where is Siyudang and is there parking? Taehaksan Recreational Forest entrance

Siyudang is located at 99-18 Hyuyangnim-gil, Pungse-myeon, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, right at the entrance to Taehaksan Recreational Forest, so it was easy to find, and it's a large café spanning 1st to 3rd floors. Hours are daily 10:00–21:00 (last order 20:00).

🚘 There's a large dedicated parking lot in front of the store, so it was easy and convenient to visit.

There were banners out front with photos of the food and brunch menus, so I got to browse and think about what to order while walking in.

There were also outdoor tables at the entrance, which seemed perfect for enjoying in this not-too-hot weather.

What we ordered at Siyudang and what it cost

Right when you walk into Siyudang, there's a huge display of bread, and a menu board where you can see coffee, drinks, brunch, and meal options all at a glance. Since we came for brunch, we ordered the following:

  • Shrimp open sandwich ₩15,800
  • Octopus leg squid ink risotto ₩19,800
  • Nogeumbong (rich pistachio cream flavor) ₩5,900
  • Iced americano ₩5,500
  • Iced tangerine ginger tea ₩6,500

The moment I saw the mountain-shaped bread, it looked so pretty and delicious that I picked Nogeumbong, the mountain-shaped bread loaded with pistachio cream.

Siyudang's bakery: bread baked in-house every morning

On the Siyudang bread display, besides Nogeumbong there were salt bread, rolls, financiers, croissants, donuts, pastries, and slice cakes, but maybe because it was the weekend, the bread kept selling out fast — I have to admit Siyudang is a bakery worth visiting 🤎 It seems all the more popular because everything is baked fresh every dawn!

Is Siyudang good for babies and family gatherings?

Every floor of Siyudang has pickles, paper cups, napkins, and a water dispenser ready, so it's convenient to use the space.

With an elevator, baby chairs, a spacious interior, and plenty of tables, it seemed like a great spot to visit with a family with a baby, or for a family gathering.

And you can enjoy the ridgeline of Taehaksan through the window, while the outdoor terrace is filled with plants, giving off a lush, arboretum-like feeling.

And Siyudang has something you can only experience here •• a rooftop windmill photo zone 🏘️❤️

Along a path lined with fresh flowers, there's a photo zone space with a windmill and a tiny house-shaped structure

You can come with your kids, take photos, and also enjoy delicious meals, bread, coffee, and drinks — perfect for a Cheonan weekend outing course ~ 💗🫧

Every corner of the store has such an emotional atmosphere, so it was also great to visit as a date course.

What is brunch with a mountain view like at Siyudang?

Everything we ordered came out all at once ♥ It felt like being at a fancy Western restaurant, and seeing all the pretty-plated dishes set the mood even more.

Octopus leg squid ink risotto, 19,800 won

The thick, rich squid ink sauce went so well with the risotto, and eating it with tomato, clams, and octopus made it taste better than most Western restaurants — the kind of flavor you'd want to come back for on an anniversary.

Shrimp open sandwich, 15,800 won

The shrimp open sandwich had plump shrimp, scrambled eggs, green vegetables, and crispy rye bread that all went well together — it felt like eating a healthy breakfast, great to have alongside coffee.

Nogeumbong, Siyudang's signature pistachio bread, 5,900 won

Siyudang's signature Nogeumbong bread is packed with thick, rich pistachio cream full of real pistachio flavor, which paired so well with the crispy bread that I wanted to come back and try every flavor next time.

With not just the brunch menu but also the bakery, coffee, drinks, garden, and rooftop all in one place, Siyudang seemed like a perfect spot for a Cheonan outing or date course!
