Pangyo brunch café at night with a Tancheon walk: Meolmeol Pangyo
In short
Meolmeol Pangyo is a large Nordic-style brunch café on the Baekhyeon-dong café street in Seongnam, Gyeonggi, with a terrace and pet-friendly seating. This evening visit covered truffle baby potatoes, raspberry endive salad and jokbal rosé risotto, followed by a night walk along the nearby Tancheon stream. Meolmeol Pangyo is known for brunch, but the lighting is better after dark, and pairing dinner with the Tancheon walk rounds out the day.

A trendy, Nordic-feeling brunch café in Bundang, Pangyo, known for sophisticated brunch dishes with an Italian base and a Korean twist. Meolmeol Pangyo.

?
Unbelievably pretty. Am I even allowed in here? (in my sweatpants). Dinner time seems to be a date spot — full of couples.
Why visit Meolmeol Pangyo in the evening?
Meolmeol Pangyo is famous for brunch, but the lighting at night is unbearably good. It's not just about atmosphere either — this is a brunch café serious about its cooking, and I wanted to bring someone here.

Perfect spot for a terrace meal. Pretty brunch set on a yellow table under a blue awning — total European cosplay of our era. If you sit indoors instead, you still get a comfortable tree view.

Indoor seating and how ordering works
A friendly, convenient café with an experimental menu that shows real culinary research
I chose an indoor seat. The one near the entrance is a bit tight.

Usage tips are posted right on the table, so check those!

So pretty it's almost tear-inducing... the chef and staff are as lovely as the space, and kind on top of it.
The three dishes ordered at Meolmeol Pangyo
Our menu for the day.
Raspberry endive salad Truffle baby potatoes Jokbal rosé risotto
All three made me go 'huh?' — like I'd never eaten dishes quite like these before.

Truffle baby potatoes
Crushed and fried crispy baby potatoes with a special truffle sauce. The earthy truffle hits first, then the crunchy, warm potato follows through! Hard to imagine anyone disliking this — I think even foreign visitors would love it.

Raspberry endive salad
Greek yogurt and peach already pair well, but adding jamón and salad makes it feel more substantial while still feeling like a refreshing way to start the day if eaten for brunch
Raspberry, seasonal peach, salad, jamón, and Greek yogurt were plated with such finesse that it tasted fresh and rich at once. My pick of the day. It properly balanced out the two heavier dishes.
While we were eating the two appetizers, the main dish, the jokbal rosé risotto, arrived. I'd eaten a lot earlier that day and told myself I'd just have a bite or two, but the jokbal was so good I kept going back for more.
Jokbal rosé risotto (braised pork trotter in rosé sauce)
A somewhat unusual dish, isn't it? Usually risotto pairs with shrimp, or maybe bacon. This special jokbal (braised pig's trotter) menu braises the trotter well in seasoning, spicy yet with rich, vivid collagen. Just when you think 'this is spicy!' the rosé risotto steps in to balance it out.

A sweet, romantic evening meal. Having a friend to share such a romantic dinner with — that's a life well lived. Flex.
Night walk along Tancheon stream after dinner
There's a path near Meolmeol Pangyo that leads down to the Tancheon stream. If you're with your pet, just walk along Tancheon! You could walk forever. And they'd probably love a night walk even more, right?

Is Meolmeol Pangyo worth an evening visit?
More than just a good-vibes café — Meolmeol is a refreshing brunch café that will surprise you
After a beautiful brunch built on carefully researched ingredients, we walked Tancheon forever, starting from Sunae-dong, and my friend and I roughly hit our 10,000 steps that day before sleeping deeply. The next day she texted to thank me for such a good night's sleep (really). Famous for brunch, but unbearably beautiful at night — that's Meolmeol Pangyo.
