Plain and fig financiers to go, and baseball bread at CORR, Dongnae

In short

CORR is a financier dessert café in Sajik-dong, Dongnae, Busan, across from Busan National University of Education on Yeogo-ro. A two-minute walk from home makes it a regular stop, and this time it was an iced americano with plain and fig financiers, though the baseball-shaped bread said to be Busan's first was sold out on the visit day. The crisp-outside, moist-inside financiers often sell out by evening, so a visit before 8pm is recommended.

Hi, it's Moong-i~~~~! This is the café right in front of my house, and Sajik-dong turned out to be a lot more quietly charming than expected, with a surprising number of great dessert spots. I wanted to recommend it especially to people coming to watch a game at Sajik Stadium, so let me introduce CORR, a real financier holy land!

CORR hours, parking, waiting

Open daily 9:00 - 22:00

1. Parking

There's a CORR parking lot behind the building.

2. Waiting info

No separate reservations — please inquire directly with the store!

3. Exterior — on the road from Sajik Stadium to Dongnae Station

Exterior of CORR, a café on a main road in Sajik-dong, Busan

CORR sits on the busy road that runs from Sajik Stadium toward Dongnae Station. It's right by a traffic light, so it's basically an unwritten rule to pop in while waiting for the signal and pick up an americano and a financier to go. It's a two-minute walk from my house, making it the Sajik-dong café in Busan I visit the most.

4. Interior — group room and generous table spacing

Just across the crosswalk is Busan National University of Education, and right behind CORR is the Busan Yeonje Post Office. It's a Sajik-dong café in Busan that sees a mix of office workers popping in for a coffee during lunch and college students coming to work on assignments in the separate group room.

Every seat has generous spacing and the chairs are wonderfully soft. Whenever I go to a café, the first thing I check is the chairs and tables — if they're uncomfortable, I'm out immediately. Also, if the tables are too close together, it starts to feel like you're sharing a conversation with the next table over, which I find uncomfortable.

Ever since I moved to Busan, this place has been famous as a financier holy land — you'll find people who've never tried them, but never anyone who's tried them once and doesn't come back just for them. Genuinely clean, delicate flavor. There's a wide range of teas too, so you can carefully pick both your dessert and tea to your taste at this Sajik-dong café in Busan.

Busan's first baseball-shaped bread was sold out this day

CORR is also the café that created what's said to be Busan's first baseball-shaped bread, but it was sold out on the day I visited, which was a shame. Maybe it's because the season is wrapping up — give it a try if you visit again! With this year's games pushed to October because of heatwave and rain cancellations, maybe that's actually good news — hey, boss, please make lots of baseball bread! Looks like we're getting forced fall baseball, Lotte~^^ It's rained every time I've gone, so I've decided not to go watch in person for the rest of this year. Hope everyone else gets good weather when they visit.

5. Menu board

CORR menu board listing coffee, ade, and desserts

Coffee, ade, signature drinks, lattes, house-made syrups, TAE, seasonal menu, and desserts. The signature mulled wine ade looks really good, but since I always just get americano plus financier on repeat, I'll have to make a point of trying the mulled wine ade sometime soon.

6. The order — americano with plain and fig financiers

My all-time favorite combo, americano plus plain financier. I always stand in front of the display case debating what flavor to try, but I always end up buying two — plain plus something else. Today the fig looked delicious, so that was my PICK! If you love figs, you really have to try this one.

This is THE spot for crisp-outside, moist-inside financiers. The café atmosphere is great and the desserts are delicious too, so what more is there to say. Crisp on the outside, chewy and soft on the inside — I could honestly eat ten by myself. Take a bite of the sweet financier, then a sip of americano — ah, that's what happiness tastes like.

What time to visit before the financiers sell out?

Plain is still my favorite, but there's fun in trying different flavors each time at this Sajik-dong café in Busan. Sometimes when I stop by to grab some on my way home, they're already sold out, so I'd recommend visiting before 8pm if possible.

Overall verdict

  • A quietly healing space that blends the cozy stillness of the Sajik-dong back streets with warm wood-toned interiors
  • A top-tier crisp-outside, moist-inside plain and fig financier spot
  • A perfect match with a nutty, refreshing iced americano that cleanly cuts through the sweetness
  • Strongly recommended for anyone who wants a relaxed tea time with delicious baked goods in Sajik-dong!
