Note: pork neck must be ordered in 2 servings or more!!! Staff carefully grilled the meat over a charcoal plate for us, so we could just relax and enjoy the meal. Take a piece of pork neck — crisp outside, juicy inside — dip it in the 100% sesame oil and salt, or in Dongnaejeong's special melchorim, and your mouth fills with bursting juices and nutty flavor.

The texture is just as tender as pork belly or gabrisal, so it's easy to understand why everyone picks this place as their go-to Yeongdeungpo-gu Office restaurant when they're craving juicy meat.

The whole mushrooms grilled alongside the meat were a treat too!!! They're seared thoroughly on the outside first so the juices don't escape, then cut into bite-sized pieces with scissors and dipped in salt — chewy and moist, not far behind the meat itself.

How spicy is the zucchini gochujang stew (aehobak gochujang jjigae)?

Pairing the meat with the zucchini gochujang stew was truly a great choice. The broth, packed with sweet zucchini and meat, is rich and spicy at the same time, cutting right through any greasiness from the meat. It's great for mixing with a bowl of rice or as a drinking snack, so if you're visiting this Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station restaurant, definitely add the zucchini gochujang stew as a side.
