What kind of place is Wine Joomak Chacha Yeouido Station Branch?

Wine Joomak Chacha Yeouido Station Branch is a modern Korean-food wine bar 1 minute on foot from Exit 3 of Yeouido Station, on the 2nd floor of the Estrenue Building. I really love having a nice meal and a glass of wine in a good-vibe spot these days, haha.

But wine bars can sometimes feel intimidating, with menus that are hard to pick from. Wine Joomak Chacha Yeouido was a place I could visit comfortably without that pressure.

Weekday lunch menu and the free wine glass at Wine Joomak Chacha

On a nice weekday lunch, I went because Wine Joomak Chacha Yeouido also does lunch. The weekday lunch menu has Korean dishes, and I'm also curious about their signature tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes).

The lunch set menu includes smoked duck, boiled pork belly (suyuk), and spicy pork wrap (jeyuk ssambap). There are also lunch rice bowl options — hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap, beef brisket soy-sauce bibimbap, aged kimchi beef brisket bibimbap, truffle cheese chapaguri, spicy hangover ramen, and more :) It's also nice that there's a free wine perk at lunch! Though I couldn't drink, haha.

Is there a lunch wait, and what is the interior like?

I couldn't make a reservation ahead of time, so there was a bit of a wait. Still, a table opened up just before noon, thankfully.

What sets this place apart from a typical wine bar is that it's a modern Korean-food wine bar where you can enjoy Korean food alongside wine! With around 100 wine varieties, it's great for wine lovers, but also for people like me who don't know much about wine — no pressure at all.

Free corkage and the 2-hour time limit

Country-of-origin labeling is posted~ And this place is corkage-free, so if you have a wine you love, you can bring it yourself and enjoy it. That's probably a big plus for wine lovers too.

They also run a lunchtime event offering a free glass of wine, so it's worth keeping in mind if you're looking for a lunch meeting or casual gathering spot in Yeouido. Also, since the base time limit is 2 hours, it didn't feel like you were overstaying — good for enjoying a meal and wine at a relaxed pace.

Is Wine Joomak Chacha good for a date or a group gathering?

The atmosphere at Wine Joomak Chacha Yeouido isn't overly formal like a typical wine bar — it's comfortable yet has a nice vibe, making it good for a date, friend get-together, or small gathering. It felt especially fitting for grabbing good food and a glass of wine after work in Yeouido! Or, like me, for lunch.

It's great to go with wine-savvy friends, but it's also quite welcoming for beginners like me who want to drink wine but don't know what to pick — much less pressure. Above all, the Korean menu felt familiar yet composed with little twists, which made it pair well with wine. If you're looking for a date or gathering spot in Yeouido that's a bit different from the usual meat restaurants or izakayas, it's worth a visit :)

Personally, this is a place I'd love to revisit whenever I want to enjoy wine with Korean food 🍷 Even if you don't know much about wine, if you want great food and a glass of wine in a nice atmosphere, keep this place in mind :)
