Ansan taco restaurant for post-workout burritos: The Taco Booth

In short

The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is a taco restaurant in Gojan-dong, Ansan. After a workout, I ordered the All Meat Burrito and Chipotle Thigh Taco, enjoying their generous fillings, fresh combination, New York-inspired interior, and hand-washing sink. A satisfying spot to revisit when I want a hearty, slightly different taco meal after exercise.

After a seriously intense workout, I was hungry—and thought, this time, let’s have something that is a little healthier but still delicious! So I headed to The Taco Booth in Ansan. I parked at the public parking lot and walked over, and since the weather has been so nice lately, the cool breeze made it feel like I arrived much sooner than expected.

There was also a separate kiosk right in front of the restaurant just for takeout orders. It looked set up so both dine-in guests and people taking food to go could order conveniently.

There was even a notice at the entrance calling it an excellent franchise location for 2026, which somehow got my expectations up before I had even gone inside.

New York-inspired interior and ordering

The moment I opened the door, the first thing I noticed was the interior, packed with a properly done New York-inspired vibe! Colorful graphics and English phrases covered the walls, and the bold colors throughout made it feel like I had stepped into a taco spot overseas.

The stylish designs filling the walls in particular made it seem like it would be fun to take photos wherever you sat.

The farther inside I went, the more props and posters caught my eye, so looking around the restaurant was another little pleasure while waiting for the food.

Ordering was done at the table, with payment made in advance, so I could look through the menu at my own pace and order exactly what I wanted right from my seat.

Table ordering system and large menu board

For anyone who finds it a bit limiting to look only at the table-order screen, the restaurant also had a large, easy-to-read menu board like this. There were quite a few menu choices, so it seemed much easier to check the overall lineup on the big board first, then order through the table system. We ordered the All Meat Burrito and the Chipotle Thigh Taco.

And a space I personally found impressive! Since tacos are often picked up and eaten with your hands, sauce or bits of food can get on them as you eat. There was a separate sink along one side of the restaurant where you could wash your hands immediately. I really liked this thoughtful touch that lets you enjoy your tacos and clean up right away. At a place with lots of hand-held food like tacos, a sink like this definitely seems convenient.

Generously filled All Meat Burrito

All Meat Burrito, served without cilantro

Starting with the All Meat Burrito: even at first glance, it looked generously sized, absolutely packed with fillings. The halved tortilla was stuffed with meat, rice, vegetables, and more, so every bite brought several ingredients together! This time I asked for no cilantro, and it was neatly left out, making it easy to enjoy even for anyone sensitive to its flavor.

There was plenty of meat, giving it a nutty, clean flavor the more I chewed, while the rice and vegetables added a variety of textures. The tortilla held the filling firmly in place, so it did not fall apart much while I ate and was easy to hold in one hand. Maybe because I had just done such an intense workout, this stuffed burrito really felt like it filled me up properly. Such a generous portion that one alone would probably be quite filling!

Chipotle Thigh Taco

The crisp, fresh combination of the Chipotle Thigh Taco

Next was the Chipotle Thigh Taco. A generous layer of fresh vegetables covered the taco, topped with plenty of crispy fried chicken and tomato salsa, and the colorful look alone was seriously appetizing. The tomato salsa on top was tangy and fresh, pairing beautifully with the savory, crisp chicken. With the crunchy texture of the vegetables added in, it was fresh and not heavy overall.

The characteristic spicy, subtle aroma of chipotle seemed to boost the umami of the mild chicken, and taking all the ingredients in one bite made the combination of crispy chicken, crunchy vegetables, and bright tomato salsa work really well. Above all, they did not hold back on the toppings—you could really see how generous they were even in the photos. A little lime added an extra fresh aroma, making this an even cleaner-tasting menu item.

This meal tasted even better after working up a full sweat! From the filling All Meat Burrito to the fresh, spicy Chipotle Thigh Taco, I was satisfied, and the abundant ingredients made it properly hearty. The New York-inspired atmosphere also made it a nice place for a date. When I am craving a different and delicious taco meal in Ansan, this is somewhere I would like to return to.
