Cheese dakgalbi couple set at a Seosan Lake Park restaurant: Neuru Jip
In short
Neuru Jip Seosan Lake Park Branch is a dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) restaurant on the food street beside Seosan Lake Park in Chungnam. On a weekday evening the couple set arrived as cheese-waterfall dakgalbi with perilla oil buckwheat noodles and fried rice, the cheese was generous enough to earn the name, and a staff member grilled and cut the chicken at the table. With a baby chair and an in-store restroom, Neuru Jip works just as well for a family meal or a group dinner.

Hi, this is Yeontori. I was trying to decide where to go for dakgalbi and ended up at Neuru Jip Seosan Lake Park Branch, on the restaurant street by Seosan Lake Park.

Can you bring a baby? Inside Neuru Jip and its baby chairs
The building and the interior of Neuru Jip Seosan Lake Park Branch were clean overall. Like a lot of families eating out with a baby, we always check whether there's a baby chair — and Neuru Jip had one ready.

We came on a weekday evening and there were quite a few customers, including a couple of group tables. It seemed like a solid choice in Seosan for a family meal, a get-together, or a work dinner.
Neuru Jip menu and what comes in the couple set

I assumed a dakgalbi place would only sell dakgalbi, but that wasn't the case. They also had gopchang budae stew (intestine and sausage stew) and tteokdori-tang (spicy chicken and rice cake stew), among other things. Even the dakgalbi could be paired with pork belly or minari (water dropwort) depending on preference — how fresh is that!?
We ordered the couple set. It's a combo where you get cheese fondue dakgalbi, perilla oil buckwheat noodles, and fried rice all in one, haha.

The basic side dishes were lettuce wraps, white kimchi, sauce, and corn salad — a neat, simple spread.
Does the cheese-waterfall dakgalbi live up to its name?
The thing I was most curious about — cheese fondue dakgalbi! Some places give the dish this name and then only scatter a little cheese on top. Neuru Jip actually delivered a generous amount of cheese, true to the name.

Piling the stretchy melted cheese onto the dakgalbi worked really well with the savory, spicy chicken. The portion was bigger than I expected too, so there was no sense of it being too little for two people. If you're hunting for a Seosan dakgalbi spot and you love cheese, this one should hit the spot.
And the best part of this place — they grill and cut it for you! All we had to do was eat, haha. They start by cutting it into bite-sized pieces, come back partway through to flip it, and tell you it'll be ready to eat in a few minutes. Wait it out and delicious food arrives!

What do the perilla oil buckwheat noodles taste like?
Perilla oil buckwheat noodles came along too. Among the buckwheat noodle options, we went with the perilla oil version. The subtle nutty aroma of perilla oil went really well eaten alongside the dakgalbi.
After the spicy stuff, having this once in a while refreshed the palate a bit! Good food plus good food equals extra good food — you know how it is.

When you eat dakgalbi you obviously need fried rice, and skipping the noodles too would feel like a waste, right? Haha. It's nice that it's all bundled into the set instead of having to order each item separately.

Finishing the meal with fried rice
And of course, the finale is the fried rice. If you eat dakgalbi and leave without the fried rice, the meal just feels unfinished, lol. Having it included in the set meant the whole lineup, from start to finish, felt pretty complete.

I'm a pretty serious carb lover, and this meal felt satisfying since I got both protein and carbs in well.

Receipt review perk at Neuru Jip: take the drink
You'd be missing out if you skip the receipt review when you eat out!! At Neuru Jip you can choose one of ramen noodles, udon noodles, or a drink. If you order the set menu for two, the portion is already generous, so a drink might be the better pick (my recommendation). Do the review and enjoy your meal.

Is Neuru Jip a good spot for a work dinner or group meal in Seosan?
I noticed they had a Blue Ribbon Survey selection mark displayed in the store. It's not a wildly bold or unusual menu, but everything — taste, portion, and menu composition — was consistently satisfying. Eating there, I could see why regulars keep coming back. It seems like a fine choice for a work dinner or group gathering near Eupnae-dong, Seosan.
