Let me introduce the restaurant that's the first thing that comes to mind whenever I'm craving pizza and pasta.

Where to park at Bueokgan Sangmu Branch on a weekend

Bueokgan Sangmu Branch has a spacious parking lot behind the restaurant, so it's easy to use. But it can fill up when it's busy, like on weekend lunches — on weekends you can also park on the road in front of the restaurant, just so you know!

True to its reputation as a brunch spot in Sangmu, the exterior looks the part too. It's got a European vibe that caught my eye on the way in.

Weekend at 1:30pm: how long is the wait at Bueokgan?

The tables at Bueokgan Sangmu Branch are on the larger side, so there was no discomfort eating at all, and the spacing between tables was wide enough to fully enjoy the meal.

Visiting around 1:30pm on a weekend, all the tables were full so there was a short wait while they cleared one. There were waitlist seats set up so it wasn't uncomfortable, and it was fun looking at the mirror and sculpture decor while waiting~

Bueokgan Sangmu Branch menu and set menu options

The menu at Bueokgan, a Western restaurant in Sangmu, was varied — salads, pasta, risotto, pizza, and steak. There are also set menus so you can enjoy a drink along with the food at a reasonable price, and even if you're a group of 3–4 instead of a couple, you can still enjoy the set menus.

Drinks included coffee and tea, juice, ade, soda and beer, highballs, and a variety of wines that pair well with Western food. The atmosphere is nice, so it seems like a great place to visit in the evening for a glass of wine too~

If you take part in the Naver receipt event, they're running a promotion where you get a delicious pastry pie — definitely join in haha. Since this place is famous for its pizza dough, the pastry pie is probably delicious too.

We visited during a busy time, and amid the rush they set out the tableware for us. The tableware and water bottle came out not fully dried off... but the tableware was so pretty — forgiven!

Garden salad

The garden salad came out first. A light palate cleanser before the meal. There are often bitter vegetables in salads, but not here — the vegetables felt fresh! The dressing suited it well too, and it went great with the pizza as well.

Apple earl grey ade

For drinks, we ordered two apple earl grey ades. A drink I fell in love with on a previous visit! You get bits of apple flesh to chew on for good texture, a moderate sweetness, and a subtle earl grey aroma — sipping it between bites of the meal feels like a fresh restart~

You have to stir it well to enjoy it properly — and once stirred, the color and look become really pretty!

Shrimp rosé pasta

The pasta is also a repeat order — shrimp rosé pasta! I'm not a big fan of tomato, and cream sauces can often feel too rich, so I always end up ordering rosé haha. It's also a dish that never fails.

The rosé pasta had a soft, rich sauce with the nutty, slightly spicy flavor characteristic of rosé, so it wasn't heavy at all. Above all, the sauce blended so well with the noodles that everything came together in harmony. There were plenty of plump shrimp too, and eating them together really brought out the flavor.

Jambon pizza

The highlight — the pizza! I ordered it again because I kept thinking about the flavor from my first time trying it. It wasn't quite the exact same taste I first experienced, but still absolutely delicious! The jambon was piled on generously.

The jambon-topped pizza had a light yet salty flavor that was really appealing. The salty jambon and the nutty cheese went so well together, and the dough wasn't hard but had a light, clean taste — eating it with the jambon made it hard to stop reaching for another slice...

Who is Bueokgan Sangmu Branch best for?

Bueokgan, a Western restaurant in Sangmu, is a place where you really can't go wrong no matter what you order!! Having visited again and again and again, I've tried a bunch of menu items and always walked out having eaten well. If you want a great meal in a great atmosphere with friends, a partner, or family, definitely, definitely visit Bueokgan Sangmu Branch!!
