I wanted to eat meat and seafood together for dinner, so I visited Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch.

This isn't just a meat place — you can also grill scallops and jumbo shrimp over the charcoal fire, so this time I ordered a good mix of everything I felt like eating.
Where is Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch, and what are its hours?
Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch is at 15 Yeomgok-ro 464beon-gil, Seo-gu, Incheon, South Korea, units 120 and 121. It's open Tuesday to Saturday from 16:00 to 05:00 the next day, and Sunday and Monday from 16:00 to 01:00 the next day, with last order at 04:00 (Tue–Sat) and 00:00 (Sun–Mon).
It's near Luone City, an easy spot to visit from Gajeong Station, and since it stays open so late it's a great dinner destination. Especially from Tuesday to Saturday, it runs until 5am the next day, so it's good for a late meal or a drink.
Finding the Euljiro Yeontan Gui storefront near Gajeong Station

Arriving at the restaurant, I could feel that classic charcoal-grill atmosphere the name promised. It's a bit different from a sleek, modern BBQ place — cozy and nostalgic instead, which actually caught my eye more. Even from outside you could feel that proper charcoal-grilled-meat mood.
Inside Euljiro Yeontan Gui: a retro Korean BBQ dining room

Inside, there were plenty of tables. With round tables set up for grilling over charcoal, it had that retro, old-school BBQ-place feel, and it looked comfortable for larger groups too. It seemed like a great fit for a casual dinner with friends, a work dinner, or a get-together.
Ordering pork belly and seafood together in Gajeong-dong
Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch has a wide variety of meat as well as seafood. Meat can be ordered by the 100g, which is great if you want to try a little of several menu items.
What we ordered this time was:
- 🦪 Grilled scallops + cheese add-on
- 🦐 Salt-grilled jumbo shrimp
- 🥩 Marinated beef short rib
- 🥃 Whiskey corkage
That's what we went with. Being able to enjoy meat and seafood together at one table made choosing the menu part of the fun.
The banchan setup and the briquette fire at Euljiro Yeontan Gui

Once we ordered, the table was set with side dishes and the charcoal fire. There were several banchan (side dishes) to go along with the meat, and once the charcoal fire arrived, it felt like the grilling was really about to begin. Cooking things one by one over charcoal really is the charm of yeontan gui (charcoal grilling).
Grilled scallops with extra cheese

We started with the grilled scallops. We added cheese, and as it melted over the scallops it gave off a savory aroma — it looked great even before tasting it. Eating the well-cooked scallop with the melted cheese was light yet savory and delicious. Being able to grill scallops alongside the meat made the menu feel richer.
Salt-grilled jumbo shrimp on the same grill

Next was the salt-grilled jumbo shrimp. The plump shrimp were grilled up, and the savory aroma as they cooked was really good. Once the shell turned golden and I ate the meat, it had a nice bouncy texture, and being salt-grilled let the shrimp's own flavor really come through. Eating a shrimp here and there between the meat kept things from getting boring — I just kept eating.
Jumbo shrimp heads grilled in butter

After finishing the shrimp, we set the heads aside and had them grilled in butter separately. Adding butter and grilling them crispy deepened the savory flavor even more. Rather than stopping at just the shrimp meat, grilling the heads separately too made it feel like we got every bit out of each shrimp.
Marinated beef short rib piled with garlic

After the seafood, we grilled the marinated beef short rib for round two. We put the short rib on the grill along with plenty of garlic, and as it cooked over the charcoal, the aroma of the marinade and garlic rose together. The golden, well-cooked short rib paired really well with the grilled garlic. Having seafood first and meat after meant the dishes never repeated, right to the end.
Free whiskey corkage: how it works

We also brought whiskey to drink along with the meal. Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch offers free corkage when you order alcohol, so we took advantage of the whiskey corkage. Grilling meat and seafood over charcoal while enjoying whiskey made the whole dinner atmosphere even better. This could be a great spot for anyone looking for a place to eat meat and have a drink.
Is Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch worth a trip to Gajeong Station?
What I liked most about Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch was being able to enjoy meat and seafood together at one table. Adding cheese to the scallops, having the salt-grilled shrimp with buttered heads, and then grilling the garlic-loaded marinated short rib let us enjoy a wide variety of dishes.
Being able to order meat by the 100g was great when we wanted to try a little of several things, and staying open late was convenient too. If you want to grill meat and seafood over charcoal in a retro setting, this is a place worth visiting. I had a satisfying evening eating everything from scallops to jumbo shrimp to short rib, along with whiskey :)
