Today I passed through the restaurant alley to a Western-style spot near Goraesil Park in the Suwan district — I'd heard it was a great place for a wedding-invitation get-together, so I brought along the friends I owed invitations to and headed there full of excitement. Here's the review!

The restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows, with a greenery-filled view outside and pink-and-wood interior standing out inside. The natural light was amazing haha. This place is perfect for a Suwan district brunch spot 🤍

Plants were placed here and there, and the warm yet emotional atmosphere was lovely 🪴 It's the kind of vibe girls love, so it's perfect for blind dates, dates, and wedding-invitation gatherings. And the fact that corkage is FREE ~! Places like that are precious. If you bring your own wine they'll even give you wine glasses.

The basic side dishes — cucumber and radish pickles — were served first. The soda drinks came in ice cups, nice touch. Cooled our throats first ~

The set menus also looked pretty solid, but today the three of us ordered à la carte — pasta, risotto, and pizza. This place aims to be a European-style restaurant, and since all locations are directly operated (not franchised), there's no inconsistency between branches, and every dish comes out with real care — that really resonated with me. If you're looking for a Suwan district brunch spot, this is it haha.

Abalone cream risotto: fried enoki mushrooms make the dish

The abalone cream risotto was thick and creamy, and it came topped with fried enoki mushrooms as garnish — that was the kicker. I want to eat it again ㅠㅠ. The innards were mixed in like a gejang-style sauce, savory and salty and really delicious. This rich abalone innard sauce — everyone who tries it will nod along. It's not an overpowering flavor, so it's healthy and good enough for kids to eat too.

Shrimp rose pasta with five big shrimp

The shrimp rose pasta came with five big shrimp, so we happily shared them 🦐. The rose sauce sat right in between tomato and cream, seasoned just right, and the noodles were cooked to my preferred doneness, so I mopped up every bit of sauce and enjoyed it thoroughly! The plump, fresh shrimp were the highlight, and the thick sauce hit my taste buds just right. A shrimp rose pasta that nailed the basics.

Truffle mushroom pizza, crust edges and all

Truffle mushroom pizza 🍄🟫🍕 Just like everyone said, the cheese was incredibly tasty and savory. The truffle aroma was great too, and the mushrooms were chewy and well-balanced while staying light — totally my taste. I usually don't eat pizza crust edges, but this one was so good I finished it all (my friend left hers because she was full haha).

I lost myself and inhaled every dish ..... I genuinely had a delicious time, so here's my honest review of Bueokgan, the Suwan district brunch spot that's great for wedding-invitation gatherings. I'll be back to try other menu items next time.

My friends also enjoyed the food so much, and as the one who picked the place, I felt quietly proud. There were so many salad options, plus pasta, pizza, risotto, and pilaf — it was genuinely hard to narrow it down to just three dishes. Since the seasoning isn't too strong, it also seems like a good place to eat with kids. Come by for a healthy lunch.
