I visited Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe near Sinnonhyeon Station. The name Selecto was a little unfamiliar at first, but I was slightly surprised by how big the café was.

Outdoor seating and 24-hour facilities

There was a separate outdoor seating area along the side of the building. With comfy camping-chair-style seats and string lights, it had a lovely atmosphere even in the daytime. On a nice day like this, sitting here with a cup of coffee would be seriously healing.

There were lots of bingsu (shaved ice dessert) choices too, including snowflake mango bingsu, snowflake red bean bingsu, and green tea chocolate bingsu, so I thought I should try one next time. It operates as a staffed café during the day and an unmanned café at night, open 24 hours, which feels like really welcome news for anyone looking for a café around Sinnonhyeon late at night!!

Printing, copying, and scanning are available 24 hours too, which would be useful when you are in a rush.

A roomy interior, from solo to group seating

Once inside, the café was even bigger and more comfortable than it looked from outside. There were all kinds of seats, from solo spots to group tables, and they were generously spaced apart, so it never felt cramped.

Choosing the smoked salmon sandwich

Besides cakes, there were plenty of sandwiches and snacks, so I spent ages deciding what to get. The sandwich choices were sweet pumpkin egg, smoked salmon, ricotta cheese, and egg mayo. After much deliberation, I went for the smoked salmon sandwich.

Which Americano bean should you choose?

You can choose from five beans just for an Americano. There are Mocha, Blue Mountain, Flower, Geisha, and decaf, so you can pick according to your mood or taste that day!

If only the bean names were listed, it might be hard to know what is what, but I noticed that the menu marks each blend's acidity and body with dots. The Mocha blend has a chocolate aroma and full body, while the Geisha blend has a balanced mix of body and acidity, so it seems easy to choose according to your preference.

Solo study seats available for 2 hours

These are the solo study seats. I liked how the desks and sofas were arranged facing one direction.

There was a notice saying that solo study seats have a 2-hour limit. For people who work at cafés, having a rule like this might actually feel reasonable because you can sit without feeling self-conscious. Each seat has both an outlet and a USB port, too, making laptop work easy!

The Wi-Fi ID and password are posted too~! No need for café workers or laptop users to feel self-conscious!

Geisha iced Americano and smoked salmon sandwich

My drink and sandwich came out.

I chose Geisha beans for my iced Americano. It was clean, with acidity and body in harmony, so it paired well with the sandwich.

This is the smoked salmon sandwich!! It did not just have a little salmon on top; it was packed with salmon all the way through.

It had plenty of lettuce and tomato too. It was actually so generously filled that I asked for a fork halfway through and shared it, haha. The bread was moist and the sandwich was hearty enough for a full meal. It was so good that now I am curious about the other sandwiches too,, Next time, I have to try the ricotta cheese one~

Oh, and the restrooms were separated by gender, and there was even a diffuser, so they smelled nice and were clean!

A café that is good for coffee and errands

I had no idea there was such a spacious 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station. Being able to choose beans to suit my taste and have a filling sandwich made this a satisfying visit. Even though it is a café, it has practical facilities like a printing zone and study seats, so it is good not only for coffee but also for taking care of various errands. It is great for working at a café or simply having a relaxed cup of coffee, so I think I will stop by again when I am in the area!
