A perfect forest in the city: Forerest in Nogyang-dong
I found a great Uijeongbu dessert café for those days when you are worn out by everyday life and want a little escape. Rather than heading far out to the outskirts, I enjoyed a green, restful break somewhere really close by in Uijeongbu.

At the entrance, there was a sign introducing Forerest alongside a large sculpture. This is where you turn in and enter.

Once you are in, turn right and follow the road uphill; you will see the café above.

Forerest is a dessert café in Nogyang-dong, Uijeongbu where you can have a cup of coffee while soaking up the ease that all the greenery brings! I was excited already—it felt as if the trees were welcoming me.

With its atmosphere of being in a forest, plus coffee and desserts, this place was just so nice.

There was plenty of parking, so I did not have to worry about that. Just park according to the signs.

A space that feels like a gallery
As soon as I walked in, the displayed artworks caught my eye. The place was overflowing with the feeling of having stepped into a gallery.
Inside, there were spaces and tables with different charms. It would be lovely for a date in Uijeongbu, and I think it would also work well for a fun visit with a group.

Especially when a cool breeze is blowing like it has been lately, spending time at an outdoor table would be so nice.

Just sitting at a table among the surrounding trees feels healing in itself. My eyes naturally went to each table and the clean, stylish interior. It was a space whose charms came through everywhere.
What is more, Forerest is a place where you can spend time with your beloved dog, which is quite a nice point! It is a pet-friendly café, so you can visit without hesitation.

Well-balanced coffee and dense yet smooth desserts
All right, now the Basque cheesecake that lets you taste Forerest's real charm makes its appearance! This really is a fantastic place for cake in Uijeongbu.

The delicate, balanced Americano went remarkably well with the Basque cheesecake, too. Its aroma was so good, and I loved the flavor spreading through my mouth as well as the clean finish.

The Basque cheesecake was a work of art—good enough to call this a Uijeongbu cake destination!

I heard they make it in-house, then let it rest for a full 16 hours. We ordered the matcha Basque cheesecake and the chocolate Basque cheesecake.

It was a café where the deep matcha and rich chocolate flavors were both incredibly delicious.

There is definitely something that comes from real time and care.

They had Basque cheesecakes in plain, chocolate, black sesame, Earl Grey, and matcha. And they are gluten-free, too!
Can you feel that dense, creamy texture through the photos? It honestly felt almost like eating ice cream. The rich, thick yet soft texture lingered in my mouth, and then a sip of Americano made it absolutely perfect.
