Looking for a good date spot in Haeundae, Busan?? In about two weeks the Chuseok holiday will be here, with a four-day run from Thursday to Sunday. Some of you probably already have plans for how to spend it.

My girlfriend's been planning a trip to Gunsan with her parents — Gunsan's famous for jjamppong, has the Ida Bakery, the Railroad Village has a special vibe, and there's even Chowon Photo Studio, the famous movie filming location, so there's plenty to see. I'm kind of excited for her family trip too. As for me, I don't have anything special planned — probably just a nice meal with my parents near home, a visit to the family gravesite, and catching up with old friends. Hope everyone has a great Chuseok holiday too.

During Chuseok, lots of families, couples, and friends make good memories eating something special somewhere special. Some people who are busy over the holiday itself meet up beforehand instead. Either way, today I've got a Western-style restaurant in Haeundae, Busan that's great for a Chuseok get-together with friends, a date, or a family meal. Haeundae is one of Korea's top tourist spots no matter when you visit, so hopefully this is extra useful for anyone planning a trip to Busan. Let's get into it.

A Haeundae Western-food favorite, a Haeundae gathering spot, a dinner recommendation — Smith's Farm. You can look forward to this one :)

Getting there and parking

Here's the exterior, parking, and the surrounding neighborhood. You can approach via the underpass leading to the Haeundae Lotte Apartments, or from the direction of Busan Centum Girls' High School, Busan Munhwa Girls' High School, or Haerim Elementary School. There's a GS25 convenience store right across the street, so it's easy to spot, and for parking you can pull in through the passage on either side of the building — as you can see, there's fairly convenient parking inside.

Atmosphere and seating

Here's the interior, which really captures Smith's Farm's own vibe. True to the 'Farm' name, wood is the main theme throughout. It feels special from the entrance onward, and even the waiting area is nice for photos so you don't get bored while you wait. The restaurant also has some notable awards — selected as an Outstanding Company in the Western Food category at the 2024 Korea Brand Consumer Evaluation, and as an Outstanding Italian Restaurant in Haeundae-gu at the 2025 Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation.

What did I order?

They serve a wide range of Italian dishes, but I ordered the stone octopus steak — arguably Smith's Farm's signature dish. I also added the grilled romaine salad. It was a hot day, so I was happy they brought out a cool, sweet ice cream as an appetizer first.

The food came out quickly. Don't both dishes look like works of art? The stone octopus steak in particular looked so good overall that I could barely bring myself to eat it. Glad the photos managed to capture that visual appeal.

Grilled romaine salad

The grilled romaine salad has bacon chips, chili oil, a special mayo sauce, and a green sauce — fresh but rich and delicious. The savory sauce especially is the real kick.

How does the stone octopus steak taste?

And here's Smith's Farm's signature dish, the stone octopus steak, which is stunning from the visuals alone. They say the fresh stone octopus is washed by hand, boiled in soy sauce broth, and aged, then carefully cooked fresh every day. Thanks to that, the octopus isn't chewy at all — it comes out soft yet with a nice bite. With the grilled garnish, wasabi mayo, wasabi, and spicy chipotle sauce added on top, it was genuinely delicious.

With Chuseok coming up soon, it might be a nice idea to visit with your loved one or family. I recommend Smith's Farm as a Haeundae date course, a Haeundae travel favorite, and a great Western-food restaurant :)
