Today I boldly said goodbye to the brown hair I'd kept for about a year and went back to black 💇🏻‍♀️ A week later there's not a single patchy spot and it turned out so clean that I had to write this up right away and recommend it haha. Doesn't the thumbnail already look pretty?!!!! Let's go.

No wonder — here, even if you only book a cut, you get an infrared camera scalp check and aroma care as a free service!

The whole vibe is like a café •• you can even do a self scalp check while you wait 😊

Inside the private spa care room

It's a hair salon but I was shocked at how well-equipped it is — better than most dedicated scalp spas... 🫢👍🏻 There are private individual rooms so you get more focused 1-on-1 care!! I heard a lot of soon-to-be brides book here too 💛

And one more surprise! You can even get facial contouring care here!!!!! There's a separate couple's room too, so I thought it'd be nice to bring my mom along next time 😘

The scalp diagnosis and consultation room

And here's Eco Revi's other little indulgent service !!!!!!!! Even with just a cut reservation, you get a 1-on-1 scalp consultation. Isn't that so generous...?

It'd been a while since I had a scalp check... Last time, through a review campaign, I was diagnosed with early hair loss and got pretty careful about it since. This time my scalp condition was fine, but she said it had a bit of oiliness for hair washed just the night before, haha;; She carefully explained how to care for oily scalps like mine, and walked me through everything from the color I wanted, to the cut, to how to style it afterward.

And best of all! She asked what my schedule was for the rest of the day and tried to time the treatment around it. Honestly touched by that.

Before: brown hair kept for a year

Ta-daaa... this is my before. I'm a cool winter type but with the mullmul makeup trend I kept brown hair for about a year — touching up the roots every time got so tedious. This is my last brown-hair photo haha. Take a good look.

Honestly, Eco Revi Hair & Spa is also known for having great coffee. No, seriously, the coffee had just the right amount of acidity with zero burnt taste... I was genuinely shocked!!!!

Choosing an aroma oil and the scalp massage

Before the treatment, they showed me three aroma oils made in-house by Eco Revi. You smell oils No. 1, 2 and 3 and pick the one you want, then

they give you a simple massage like this! I picked No. 1, which is supposed to help with insomnia. Honestly they all smelled so good I agonized for a solid 30 seconds ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

She worked thoroughly from my scalp down to my neck and trapezius — it felt cool and fragrant and genuinely relaxing!! They even threw in a scalp-strengthening ampoule as a bonus service !!!!!!! I felt like it was my birthday...ㅠㅠ Seriously so thankful.

Applying the black dye: why it didn't sting the eyes

She checked thoroughly multiple times to make sure no section was missed! I've had smile lens laser eye surgery so my eyes are sensitive, and dyeing often makes them sting, but here — maybe because they use good-quality products — my eyes didn't sting at all, which surprised me 👀

That moment of feeling so, so refreshed,,,,,,,,,

As expected, even the showerhead at Eco Revi Hair & Spa is never ordinary... the cool stream from that showerhead felt like it was cleansing every single strand of my scalp. Ahh, so refreshing!!!!!!!

Seeing this photo again makes me want that scalp massage all over. Her fingertips are so skilled, kneading firmly, and it felt so, so good and instantly clearing !!!!!! Excellent.

Back to the chair...!! She dried my hair thoroughly~~~ and finished with pretty styling...

My friends said black hair really does suit me better haha. My unreasonable request was that the color not turn patchy as it faded over time, but also not be too jet-black right after dyeing — and our designer Hyerin nailed it perfectly. The best!!!!!!!!
