I went out for a workout on a weekend morning and wanted something light for lunch — a sandwich. So I'm going to spill the full review of my visit to Town Sandwich, a Jamsil sandwich favorite, where I had a solid meal of bánh mì, soup, and a ginger latte!
First impressions of Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch, inside the shop

It's close to exit 9 of Jamsil Station, and I found it right away on the first floor of the Jamsil Dcheub Star Park commercial building, across from the Rose Shopping Center.

Opening the door, the inside was clean and clutter-free — floor to tables — probably because it's a newly opened place.

At the self-service bar, straws, napkins, and wet wipes are neatly arranged, and browsing the wall illustrations and merch in between made the wait fly by.

The space itself is on the small side, but the tables are arranged well enough that it never felt cramped. There are 2-seat and 4-seat tables, plus a separate bar section along the wall that's great for solo dining.

They start making everything only after the order comes in, so there's a bit of a wait,

and takeout and delivery orders kept coming in nonstop the whole time. Proof that this place has already earned its reputation as a sandwich favorite.
What I ordered, and the prices
Here's the combination I went with.
- Grilled chicken bánh mì
- Sweet pumpkin soup
- Ginger latte

Bundling with the soup set knocks off ₩1,000, and bundling with the drink set knocks off another ₩1,000 — definitely a better deal than ordering each item separately.

There's a good variety of drinks too, so pick whatever suits you. I've been drinking way too much matcha latte lately, so this time I went for something different: a ginger latte :)
Grilled chicken bánh mì — crispy outside, tender inside, exactly as it should be

It looks like it might be a hard baguette, but the outside is genuinely shatteringly crisp and the inside isn't tough at all.

The filling was generously packed too, which I loved :) This place really nails that tangy signature flavor of bánh mì, so I never got tired of it even down to the last bite.

Sweet pumpkin soup balances out the flavors

Dipping a piece of baguette into the soup, there's that natural sweetness distinctive to sweet pumpkin — not sugary sweetness, but the cozy sweetness of finely blended pumpkin itself.

The thickness is just right too. If you're getting a sandwich here, I really recommend the soup set!
Ginger latte, that spicy aroma I love

I can't handle coffee well, so I was looking for a non-coffee option and picked this — the moment I took a sip, the ginger aroma shot straight up my nose.

But it's not that sharp, biting kind of ginger — it's a warm, mild ginger aroma wrapped snugly in milk. As it goes down, a slight spiciness lingers at the end, and that's part of the charm.

Looking out the window, taking a bite of bánh mì, then a sip of ginger latte — sitting alone and taking it slow like this was nice; it had been a while :)
